Tranmere.
I live on the Wirral and have to deal with crap from them to this day. They love living in the past and dont seen to conceed that they are in fact a now a shambles of a team who have very little chance of moving forward.
I think just how many of us truly hate them showed in the numbers who turned out for the cup match. That and the fact that fatty Ricketts was playing for them and Jason Mac was there too. The fact that I remember about 4 of their fans singing about shit supporters when there were over a thousand of us there adds to that!
That club is simply a housing estate waiting to happen.

What do we think of Tranmere...
Don't really think about em much anymore to be honest. Aren't they in the same division as ginger bollox?

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

The high/low spot of Elton Welsby's love affair with Tranmere was one Friday night when on his football show he cut away from a Bolton piece to show the live departure of the Tranmere FC coach from their club car park. Great shots of the back of the coach driving through the gates !!!! What a plonker.
I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

BigSam getting the team to change on the coach after a game seems a long time ago now...

I reckon even OC would have had trouble heaping praise on John Aldridge!thebish wrote:BigSam getting the team to change on the coach after a game seems a long time ago now...

Re: BWFC Book of Hate (aka help a plastic understand)
remember when tranmere scored in the dieing moments to deny us getting to 100pts in the late 90s
was like they'd won the cup
must eat them up inside to see us go nearly a decade of top flight football while they slowly decline

Who did we play one year when Big Sam stopped the team from shaving as a sign of disrespect to the opposition? I remember Per Frandsen was one of the team for some reason.
Was it Tranmere that had a long throw specialist ala Delap? Or was that Oldham?

Who used so many towels wiping the ball there were none left for the Bolton lads to have a bath.Lofthouse Lower wrote:Dave f*cking Challinor.Jug eared c*nt

Barnsley - for their fans waving £20 notes at us in the eighties (i think 80's?) thinking they were like yuppies or something ( yeah i suppose it had to be the eighties )
still - turn that around and i suppose you have someone posting hate BWFC on a Preston board when me and a couple of others who bizarrely all got Filofax's for christmas decided to take them to a match and wave them at the Preston fans. P!ss funny for us at the time but you had to be there and well tanked up really.

I don't like them, but in fairness, if we could boast that accolade, I'm sure we would!TKIZ! wrote:Add to mine The Dingles, because they do nowt but go on about 'winning' the Premier League (16 years ago) and this whole 'most successful town side' balls

Totally agree with you that we would but it grates when they start going on about it, doesn't it?boltonboris wrote:I don't like them, but in fairness, if we could boast that accolade, I'm sure we would!TKIZ! wrote:Add to mine The Dingles, because they do nowt but go on about 'winning' the Premier League (16 years ago) and this whole 'most successful town side' balls

I've always felt with Tranmere that during the early to mid 90's it was going to be either us or them that made it to the premiership. Turned out to be us. But think what could have happened had they made it?
Two clubs similar positions at the time. Glad they'll never see the light of day again, gives me a warm feeling inside.
