Ran into Ricky in town after the 1-1 draw against Arsenal at the Reebok. Freezing cold night Ricky had a thick coat on, jeans and sandal's. 'Why are you wearing sandals in this' I asked. Dennis ( effing ) Bergkamp he replied. ( Pedersen got the equaliser in the game 2003-4 season when Arsenal went on to become the invincibles ) In the build up to the Pires goal, Gardner was fouled by Bergkamp & Ricky had the stud marks in his foot to prove it. 'Ref said he never touched me'. Bergkamp got you sent of at Arsenal a couple of season's ago to I said. Ricky smiled and said ' He ain't on my xmas card list, man ' . Had me and in stiches, anyway.

A great servant to the club & I wish the lad all the best

We had his best years by far.

Feels good saying that about half of West Hams team and manager.

They'll still get lauded in the press and given recognition that they deserved long before they started winding down their careers at The Boelyn Ground.

I hope he's happy and well rewarded there. But I'd prefer him to be another Kieron Dyer for them.

Well chuffed with our recent purchases! And I was a Big Sam champion long before we appointed him. First time since 'Arry that we've had a proper, decent manager imo...and I'm actually looking forward to the start of a season, something I haven't done for a while now!

All the best for the coming season lads, I hope it's a cracker for you. You're a good bunch of lads, and your team play some nice stuff 8)

F@cking Bolton...

Read their websites and you think they are a passionate bunch who will give you a hard time...but you go to a game at the Reebok and they hand you their wife to do whatever you want and buy you drinks while you do it
I like how brilliantly idiotic and non-sensical this is

Gaz...Romford is one in a millionty billionty trillion and I won't hear a good word said about him!

Seriously though - "if you're reading this Romford" - he's a good bloke, with his opinions, and isn't backwards at coming forwards with them. Respect where it's due, our board would be a whole lot duller without him!

I can't comment mate I don't regularly visit KUMB but what exactly is 'hand you their wife to do whatever you want and buy you drinks while you do it' to do with anything, nevermind Ricky.

He says he has pride.

I say its being swallowed with BSA being appointed.

IMO Gardner was at a legendary status after spending 13 years with us.

This just seals it. Well done Ricky!

Bolton's Gardner turns down Allardyce reunion

Ricardo Gardner has rejected a chance to rejoin Sam Allardyce at West Ham – and is ready to sign a new deal with Bolton.

The versatile Jamaican was out of contract at The Reebok and boss Owen Coyle offered him new terms that were a big drop from his last contract.

Gardner met Allardyce for talks, but headed back to Bolton yesterday and is now keen to stay on and take his chances in trying to break back into Coyle’s team.

A very popular figure with Wanderers fans, Gardner has been fighting injuries for the past year and was loaned out to Preston in March.

But the possibility of staying in the Premier League has swayed him towards a new, less lucrative deal with Bolton rather than dropping to the Championship with the Hammers.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.
