Man City at home against newly promoted Swansea....no doubt Mancini will have 9 defenders starting on the teamsheet

For myself I'm very much of the opinion that we really must take points from first game QPR - it is difficult to see us taking much from next three and at the start of the season you can easily get into that rut of losing/no points/no confidence and it just carries on... I hear what people are saying about not wanting to play a promoted team but sometimes they get smashed as well - Let's hope it's 5-0 and welcome to the Prem, QPR!!

QPR will rip us apart. It's going to be like a recreation of Colin & Justin's wedding night.

That's a right BITCH of a season opening on paper. But. We'll have new players desperate to prove themselves, Coyle will have every single one of them really fired up for it, the opposition, whether it be QPR, United or Arsenal, won't know what hit them.

This is OUR year. COYWM!

hmmm.... welcome on board... but this isn't simply a forum for everyone to say "I love the whites, I do" (that would very quickly get boring!) - but, rather, a place to discuss stuff....

I'll be there, probably supporting the whites to failure but supporting them nonetheless! Terrible first fixture but we've gotta improve our away record sometime I hope. Pre season optimism! Can't beat it. At least that's not our last 7 games!

Agree to that, I wouldn't fancy that lot of matches needing points.

That's a horrible first lot of fixtures, but we have to play them over the season anyway. We'll be bottom 5 after the first lot of games but after that we'll start to move up ;)
