I hope he can defend better than the shower currently out there.

You know it's a bad day when Petrov is the only player who looks interested.

About a yard off the pace all the time.

Not happy.

I gather the "Fab" sub was "tactical". Looked way off any game today.

We're really struggling here. Lucas is able to just patrol the middle third mopping up possession. The ball isn't sticking up top. Eagles struggling to pass, beat a man, everything. I'm not even sure what we can do to change it with this personnel.

Is it not beyond the realms of common sense to have Steinsson and Eagles lined up in training trying to beat two men marking them, because they seem utterly incapable of getting themselves out of such a typical game situation as having two men blocking their path down the wing.

I dunno, what's he actually done? Lot's of blind alleys and an inability to play the difficult passes that might actually unlock this Liverpool defence

He doesn't know what to do with the ball when he gets it. Doesn't know how to beat a man, find a player. Don't get me wrong, I like the lad and think he's done well so far this season, but looks way off it today (as does everyone, mind).

Absolutely awful

Its a crime against football we are still in this match

442 away from home against a team that much better than we are

Its the total inability to drop Kevin Davies that costs us; if we did the sensible thing and played the extra midfielder he'd be the one dropped. He used to be able to help make the numbers up in midfield....he can't / won't do it now. He's a complete spare part at the moment.

Absolutely horrendous half of football from us.

If I could make 6 subs I would.

Full backs are getting done all ends, but especially Steinsson who is being made a fool off by Downing, and flicked on passes out wide.

Reo-Coker looked intent on getting booked early doors, and still can't pass over distance.

Muamba sub was right, but unfair on him. He shouldn't have started, and Mark Davies looks better coming on.

Petrov has been wasteful, and isn't helping out defensively.

Eagles looks good on the ball, nice skills and working his socks off, but the forwards are giving him nothing to work for, they aren't even interested in moving for the ball.

Davies and Klasnic, my goodness, embarrassing from them both. Klasnic may be lethal in the box, but he HAS to work more off the ball. I think every time he's had possession he's given it away...incredibly lazy and slow. Davies is getting nothing, and looks like he can't be arsed at all.

I really don't know how to fix this, unless Coyle gives the inspirational talk to end all talks, because we have no options off the bench apart from Tuncay up front, and both our forwards need subbing.

The manager has to take a lot of blame though, he's taking a 4-4-2 away from home to a 4-5-1 of Liverpool, we can't keep the ball and we're under constant pressure. Should have matched their formation, with Tuncay or Pratley instead of Klasnic or Davies.

Thank feck that half is over.
What is SKDs role today? Lethargic, not interested. Its like we're playing with 10 men.
Muamba, shite. Subbed and rightly so.
