If you were Paul Robinson, you wouldn't be fast enough to catch them. And if you got somewhere close, you'd start backing off.Prufrock wrote:If I was Paul Robinson I'd fecking chin Petrov, Knight, Pratley, and Coyle today.

Re: The Official Knee-Jerk Thread
The thing with making some of these changes is that once you make them you no longer have competition for places.
E.g. SKD loses captaincy, gets benched, NRC is made captain, Ngog starts. Then Ngog and NRC have a few bad games... what do you do? Back to SKD? Try one of the kids?
But, also, it's not competition for places if you're going to pick some of the main offenders no-matter-what!
So, are we gonna have a march?

Lads I'm scared. Like, relegation scared.
After we get sod-all from Chelsea and Arsenal we will have 12 games to get as many points as possible before January happens.
2 Jan
Everton (A)
14th
Man Utd (A)
21th
Liverpool (H)
31th
Arsenal (H)
Then it will February and we'll be in an almighty scrap down the wrong end of the table.
The worst thing about the game was the lack of confidence; the players knew they needed a win and were awful and the crowd got on their backs very quickly.

I think the fans could do more though, the atmosphere even before the goals yesterday was shocking. We just don't seem to get behind our team.

I know Bolton fans are generally viewed as pessimistic but bloody hell, it's like the Library. Just don't get it?

Re: The Official Knee-Jerk Thread
We never raise ourselves for the lower key games, never been the case. We only change if there's an early goal or positive incident like hitting the post or something that seems to wake everyone up a bit. And against the Big Boys, it's usually derision of the opposition that generates noise

Give over - Yes the atmosphere wasn't good, but its not the fans out there on the pitch playing rubbish - its a two way thing the players need to give the fans something to shout about and since Wembley we've had nothing.TKIZ! wrote:I think the fans could do more though, the atmosphere even before the goals yesterday was shocking. We'd lost 8 out of 9 before yesterday and just lost 5-0 to Utd at home and its down to the fans to lift the team....!
The players owe the fans big time - not the other way around

Re: The Official Knee-Jerk Thread
It looked ok on MOTD, not even the worst defeat or biggest shock yesterday. Winnable games in October and November, then 2 winnable games at home over xmas.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.
