Good then !!

Enjoy the break as best you can & come back watching after we've got a few more points under the belt.

I got to the match with 10 minutes played and it was 2-1 to us  thought it was an error on the score board.
:D

When we beat Walsall 8-1 I was 15 minutes late. Got on the Paddock - "No score yet is there, Lads?" "Yeah, we're three-nil up". "feck off, nil-nil then!", "No, really, we're three-nil up".........

This year I will again doing my annual Boxing Day take-the-godsons-to-St-Andrew's trip. This year it's Brum v West Ham, and you can just never get enough of despising those cockney pricks. ;)

In a complete reversal of this, I turned up 25 mins late for us v Stoke in 94 (I think) with the score at nil-nil.

"Hows it been so far"

"Shit".

We started scoring about 3 minutes after I arrived and won 4-0. As far as I remember.

Despite the win, injuries permitting, I'd still make changes

I know Coyle won't but Knight and NGog would be out for Wheater and Eagles

As it is, I expect the only change to be enforced and that's the return of Robinson

Aye
Wouldn't disagree there CAPS, not at all
Ngog isn't fully fit, Eagles unlucky to be the fall guy for that midfield
Knight, complete fanny, Wheater/Cahill easily our best centre half partnership

And I see thats no win in 5 for newcastle....you know the script :-/

Wheater for Knight is a no-brainer but Eagles on for Ngog? Where is Eagles playing?

I'd rather keep a similar system to the Blackburn game (seeing as they seemed to play quite well) and have Tuncay up front if Ngog's not fit.

Ah yes, Super Tony Caldwell. Does he deserve a "Super"? I rather think he does. What a man, what a 'tache. Still one of the most naturally skilful players I've ever seen in the lower divisions, like a cut-rate Frank W.

No way should we change to a 4-5-1, need to go and attack a weak Newcastle backline. Hope Ngog is fit, need him to run at Perch and Coloccini.

He's improved since I'm sure, but Elmander vs Colocinni last year was the biggest one-to-one mismatch (in our favour) that I've ever watched live. He had him every time he ran at him.

I hope Perch plays, he's been nothing but atrocious for Newcastle and is absolutely inept in the air.

In fact, if he does play, and N'Gog isn't fit, I'd be half tempted to bring back SKD...

Demba Ba has got to be the best free transfer in a while in the prem. Banging in the goals for the barcodes and got two crackers tonight aswell.. Need to keep him quiet if we are to win this one.

D-Ba has had his goals for the week, nothing left against us :P. Looking at the highlights, magpies struggles with highballs and knockdown headers, you guys think OC might restore SKD back into the line up ? Looking at the highlights, SKD do come in mind. Only the first goal from O'wingge was down to pace, the rest are header-knock downs.

Newcastle aren't in the best of form at the moment, so this could be the perfect opportunity to pick up some much needed points.

It's ridiculous, I am actually confident that we can pick up points based on the sole fact we have finally won a game. We really need the crowd to get behind the players this week, boo's at half time would seal our defeat I'd suspect.
