Re: Day of Destiny/Doomsday: Stoke away
Got coach last season, wasn't half bad. Nice police escort into the ground so beats the last half hour sat in queing traffic, only downside is we got there hour and half before the actual kick off. Managed to nab a autograph off Tuncay though as him and Kenwyne Jones entered the ground, oh the irony.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Last time I went, got the train. Any advice? Never been. Wondering if it's wise as a Bwfc to drive?
Club travel at £13 sounds value for money but it's the LAST place I want to be for 2 hours on the way home if we get relegated.

No and no.CrazyHorse wrote:15-0 to Stoke.
There are two possible scenarios.
1. We have a lead, and they score - 95th minute (SKD own goal or something).
2. We beat them, while QPR get a draw in injury time.
We'll be back!

Anything can happen over 90 mins.
Conceded 75 this season. 12 points at Christmas. Yet we're still looking at "win and we're in."
The players will go to Stoke hopefully playing like they're arses are on fire. Ya never know...

We have beaten every team below Stoke away from home.
It's not over yet.

I fecking hate Stoke and I just know they're going to send us down.
I've been hoping for months that we wouldn't need a result here, and that's exactly the case.
I can't see this being an enjoyable day out anymore.

That's a nice statistic. Finally one in our favour.Wandering Willy wrote:We have beaten every team below Stoke away from home.

COYFWM!!
I knew it the minute I looked at the fixture list. 1) That we would struggle from the outset and 2) it would come down to next week.
So what are we made of now that we really are up against the firing squad?
Re: Day of Destiny/Doomsday: Stoke away
A statistic to give us hope? How about the fact that we already beat Stoke 5 fecking 0 this season. WE CAN DO THIS [as long as Man City don't feck up].

Seems over on the stoke forum they think we will beat em and we think they will beat us. Draw it is then!
A lot of animosity for qpr as well which surprised me and a fair few would be happy for us to win

A lot of them seem to think itd be better to keep us up because QPR would go for the same players as them and bring the prices upbwfcmadlad wrote:Seems over on the stoke forum they think we will beat em and we think they will beat us. Draw it is then!

which is true because if we survive owens probably going to be picking up the next 7 goals a season championship "rising star" who impresses him with a few stepovers
Re: Day of Destiny/Doomsday: Stoke away
If someone has a van I've got a big sack if we put coyle in my sack then put him and the sack into your van and drive him somewhere very far away then we get my nine year old niece who has no interest in football to take his place on Sunday we probably have a very good chance of staying up

They've lost at home this season to West Brom, QPR, Spurs and Sunderland so it's doable but it's asking a lot to get our shower to pull their socks and pull off another victory....i'm not hopeful

According to Nixon (probably just defending coyle) but he reckons we're better going to stoke needing a win than a draw

I will be there. Let's make it a carnival atmosphere whatever the result. I'm resigned to going down so will go with no hope at all, other than for a good day out.
If owt else happens it'll be a massive bonus and an amazing day.
Either way I want to say goodbye to some of the players we've enjoyed down the years. I hope to that end that Jussi plays, so we can say goodbye properly to a club legend. And KD to that end as well. And hopefully Ricardo can be on the bench to give us a wave!

Glad you've sacked em all off mate. Have you mentioned it to Bolton?BWFC_Insane wrote: Either way I want to say goodbye to some of the players we've enjoyed down the years. Coyle may be dumb - but hope he doesn't follow BWFCi's advice to put the injured Ricardo on the bench...

Well as it stands they're out of contract and as far as we know and according to the players themselves have been offered nowt so far.TANGODANCER wrote:Glad you've sacked em all off mate. So whilst they may stay in some cases, given Gartside has talked about how should we go down we will be 'ok' cos 12 players are out of contract its safe to say many probably won't be here next season.....
