Squad for next season
So we dont know what division we will be in, but what the hell........
As it stands the seniorish players who we have under contract for next season are as follows...
Bogdan
Mears
Riley
Ream
Wheater (injured)
Alonso
NRC
Wylde
Eagles
LCY
Mark Davies
Pratley
Holden
Vela
Sordell
NGog
Have I missed any? I've left Muamba out for now for obvious reasons.....
Whatever happens on Sunday.......'gulp'

Holden is injured. I've little doubt that'll be different come August.

Maybe. He's taken a lot longer than was initially predicted.the-Bowtun-Warrior wrote:Holden is injured. I've little doubt that'll be different come August.
Oh for Big Sams sports science and fitness team eh?
Re: Squad for next season
Wylde still hasn't been allowed to play. If FIFA don't approve it, can we sign him in the transfer window still or is that it?

I found it so hard to sit and watch that playoff semi today.
Everything about that 90mins made me compare what I saw to what I currently see at our club.
Everything from tactical throw-ins to the medical team and numerous members of staff sat behind Sam.
What a shower we have ourselves now...

We've signed him. The only thing FIFA had to do was clear him or not this season.LiOC wrote:Wylde still hasn't been allowed to play. If FIFA don't approve it, can we sign him in the transfer window still or is that it?
Next season he is cleared thanks to the opening of the transfer window.

Re: Squad for next season
Should we be relegated on Sunday, I'd like to think that we'd be well placed to push for promotion from the Championship with that squad. Whether it'd look that strong when the transfer window closes this September though, I'm not sure.
Where's Mears? He's surely not injured as well is he?

I'd be tempted to add Lainton to that list, particularly if Jussi's contract is up.

Some of the young players could be added probably e.g Blakeman, O'Halloran, Eaves, Sampson and Connelly

Not sure to be honest. Either way that squad needs a lot of work doing to it I guess.....Bruce Rioja wrote:Your point being?BWFC_Insane wrote:So we dont know what division we will be in, but what the hell........

Re: Squad for next season
Well I'd sign Ricketts on now whatever league we are in. He is a better centre half than left back.
Its a shitter about Wheater, he would of been one of our main men next year. Plus, that will be his last year on his contract?

O'Halloran was sent back from Sheff Utd after month, striker Sampson hasn't scored a goal at Southend, Connolly didn't get his loan extended at botttom of the pile Macclesfield. You could also include Rhys Bennett after his season-long loan at Falkirk but he's spent most of the season sat on the bench.Relentless09 wrote:Some of the young players could be added probably e.g Blakeman, O'Halloran, Eaves, Sampson and Connelly

Re: Squad for next season
If we get shut of all 12(ish) players who are out of contract, we'll surely get some more in.
Questions are who, how good, and do we trust the incumbent manager to shop well?
Cos there's only so much to be gained by chasing tippy-tappy tiny Spanish midfielders.

I think Kevin Davies is 50/50 if we go down.
I'm pretty confident Sunderland will come calling for him, and I get the feeling OC will offer him another 12 months, so it will be down to KD whether to stay loyal or feel he's got enough in the tank for one last crack at the Premier League.

Really? MO'N made a cheeky bid this Jan, but I doubt Mackems will be hanging their summer spending plans on him.Gail Platz wrote:I think Kevin Davies is 50/50 if we go down. I'm pretty confident Sunderland will come calling for him

Re: Squad for next season
Well this time around it'd be a free transfer and since January he's been playing out of his skin, plus 2 goals against Sunderland themselves I don't see why he wouldn't come in for him.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Really?
