Except he's one who's turned us down at least 3 times ... more or less harrumphed with a "why would I sign for Bolton ?" at one point.plymouth wanderer wrote:AgreedSmokinFrazier wrote:Danny Murphy would be terrific in the Championship. I'd love that to go through.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Never heard of him
Sky Sports understands that Darren O'Dea is set for a summer move back to the Chamionship.
O'Dea spent the whole of last season on loan at Leeds United and has previously enjoyed stints at Reading and Ipswich.
Celtic had an option to keep him for another year, but following talks the two parties have agreed that he can leave on a free transfer.
"I'm very happy," said O'Dea, who is currently with the Repubic of Ireland squad ahead of Euro 2012.
Official
"I spoke to Peter Lawwell (Celtic chief executive) and fair play to him. I've been leaving for long enough and it was about time it was official.
"Fair play to Peter for cutting ties. It lets me get on with my career; this has been happening for the last two and a half years anyway.
"I've had a great time at Celtic and have a lot of friends there so it was important for me that I left properly. He's done that and given me the chance to do that, so I've nothing but admiration for the club and I wish them all the best."
Sky Sports understands that a host of clubs in England's second tier are keen on securing his signature.
Bolton, Burnley and Peterborough are amongst the names reportedly keeping tabs on his situation.

Spoke to our resident Irish person at work and they've said O'Dea is decent enough and would probably very good in the Championship

Team him up with Zat and we could have a centre back pairing of O'Dea and Oh Dear.TKIZ! wrote:Spoke to our resident Irish person at work and they've said O'Dea is decent enough and would probably very good in the Championship

Aye you have. He was touted as the new Cliff Richard for years. Appeared in Joseph and his Technicolour Raincoat down the west end for yonks. You'd deffo know him if you saw him.plymouth wanderer wrote:Never heard of him

Back on Danny murphy, as good as I think he would be in the championship I can't see him dropping down a division.
Suprised fulham have let him go.
Can see him signing for a promoted team, west ham or reading saying he could stay in London, I think he is still good enough at the top level.

From the little I have seen of him, Ian Black would be a good shout for the level we are now at. Any of our resident jocks have an opinion on him?

Danny Guthrie has been released from Newcastle. I'd take him back any day

Stephen Kelly been released, how about him? And Murphy is a very good player but I think he's a under orders from his actress missus not to leave London. I think he'll end up at Wet Spam

Even better then with pairing of O'Dea Ream. Weren't they an eighties pop group with a smiling scientist?Little Green Man wrote:Nice try, though it's pronounced Dee not Day.TANGODANCER wrote:Or O'Dea and (K)night.Little Green Man wrote:Team him up with Zat and we could have a centre back pairing of O'Dea and Oh Dear.TKIZ! wrote:Spoke to our resident st?Irish person at work and they've said O'Dea is decent enough and would probably very good in the Championship

We should definitely take a look at him, though im certain a few prem teams will be too. Whenever i've seen him play he's been as reliable as Mr Reliable.TKIZ! wrote:I thought it was funny TDTANGODANCER wrote:Or O'Dea and (K)night.Little Green Man wrote:Team him up with Zat and we could have a centre back pairing of O'Dea and Oh Dear.TKIZ! wrote:Spoke to our resident Irish person at work and they've said O'Dea is decent enough and would probably very good in the Championship

Kelly's a right-back, and even without Steinson we've got three. So nah, ta.onlywanderer wrote:We should definitely take a look at him, though im certain a few prem teams will be too.
