Re: Trotters pics
Nice pic, although the bigger Paul doesn't seem that interested!
I also like seeing the old cars in the background, as I hate all modern cars and only drive 20+yr old cars myself.
Hear is a pic of the other Jones of that era (taken from a 1975 programme) - not a private collection photos as you have but a really nice action pic non the less
And one of me and my dad at a game, I'm the one wearing the 70's brown parker wth the yellow stripe on the arm

It's on the Egerton side of Dunscar GC, General.General Mannerheim wrote:That'll be the famous gable end Mrs SKD is always piping on about? Not a bad gaff tbf. Where is it?

Re: Trotters pics
Brilliant - I remember them getting them. All bar Peter Thompson who preferred his fancy Audi.
Tenuous link time. The first time I ever went round Dunscar GC I was caddying for Tony Dunne in a celebrity/am fund-raiser for Eagley Sports Club. I turned his trolley over on the 16th. He still gave me £5 though, which was an absolute bloody fortune back then.

Rich clubs, poor clubs. Way back in 1969/70, Jean Lee once showed me her "birthday present" from Frannie who was at City then. It was one of these:BL3 wrote:BWFC76 wrote:I also like seeing the old cars in the background, as I hate all modern cars and only drive 20+yr old cars myself.

Fantastic idea, thanks for postingBWFC76 wrote:I thought I would start a thread off where we can post pics we find or produce ourselves; relating to BWFC players/action/goals or just any interesting related pics that aren't widely available on the usual media outlets and BWFC web sites. Ie like private pics that you scan in or in my example below, a screen capture from a game on video (my 1st game April '76 Bolton Vs Oldham 4-0 to us)
I have captured the moment in the video where Roy Greaves is being congratulated by Big Sam after scoring his 2nd goal of the game, with Neil Whatmore by their side. A kind of pic that could be in a programme.
"Big Sam congratulates Roy after his 2nd and Bolton's 4th goal"
Anyway if you think its a reasonable idea and have some nice BWFC related pics that aren't generally available and you want to share, post away !!!
Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.

What made me laugh was when in the 1st half Gary Jones got away with the ball from a Whatmore header, and was nailed by 3 defenders, Gerald Sinstadt commentating said :William the White wrote: Loved that. Great to see the original TOMO on the wing.
"that was deliberate and that could very possibly be a booking"
Very possibly??? You would get sent off today if that had happened

Lovely to see. I was on the Embankment that day. I'd forgotten how Mike Walsh minced when he ran.BWFC76 wrote:What made me laugh was when in the 1st half Gary Jones got away with the ball from a Whatmore header, and was nailed by 3 defenders, Gerald Sinstadt commentating said :William the White wrote: Loved that. Was was nice to see was the absence of histrionics from players fouled, having decisions awarded against them etc.,.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Right click on the picture and select 'properties'. Copy it. Click on Img (above) and paste it. Preview to make sure and Robert should indeed be your Fathers brother.TKIZ! wrote:How do you put pics on again? Got a couple of recent Wanderers pics to show

Photobucket is pretty simple to use & free - but there are other sites to host pics too.General Mannerheim wrote: yeah but you might need to 'host' em first.

Dean Crombie chips Kenny Allen in the Torquay goal to score the 3rd in our 4-1 victory in the 1989 Sherpa Van Trophy Final.

And is that a Ford Anglia I can see underneath/by the entrance to the supporter's club?BWFC76 wrote:Ahhh look, its a Vauxhall Viva HB and a Triumph Herald. Also looks like a Hillman Minx in the background.

Not sure what year it'll have been taken. Pre-Happy Shop I see. Anyone know when the supporter's club was built?
