Owen Coyle. Shorts.

I thought this thread was funny but things have gotten so bad we may as well add "Coyle's ridiculous shorts" to his long list of flaws. All these guys are meant to be authority figures to spoilt young millionaires:

Authority comes from more than attire. Allardyce's earpiece looked stupid on LSL. Martin O'Neill seems to have no problem getting his men onside despite dressing in tracky bottoms and a training top marked with his initials and "squad number". Clough wore a green jumper to piss off his goalkeepers. Pulis wears a f&cking baseball cap.

Coyle isn't a laughing stock because of his pants.

True but it does give us another thing to take the piss out of....

The OC doesnt stand for Owen Coyle as most would assume. It stands for Oh crap as in "Oh crap it's Owen Coyle"

That's only coz he had to get it from the limited Kids selection at Burton's! (Speaking as a former short, slender 5th-former. Formerly.)

Agreed. I remember thinking this about Sammy Lee. I doubt any of the players took his team talks seriously. Just the stature and the way in which he speaks wouldn't inspire me and it didn't seem to inspire the players either. He isn't a man of authority and neither is Coyle no matter what he is wearing.

That said Coyle would look ridiculous trying to give a rousing speech in dem shorts.
