Nigel Pearson is a good manager, gets his team very organized and they've got a very lively attack along with a solid defense so this isn't going to be an easy game. But it's still another game that we have to look at and say that we've got the team to win it, especially at home. It is a shame that Ngog can't even be on the bench because he looked decent on Saturday whilst Kevin Davies looked extremely poor and out of his depth, and not for the first time. I fear if we start with Davies again then we may have another first half of struggle but maybe 0-0 at half-time with two second half goals will do for us.

It's been going too well recently. New manager, saying the right things, comes from behind to beat top of the league. Another game against one of the better sides in the division. We'll get bummed.

(Isn't Nugent about 43 by now? I remember when he used to play for Preston, and that must have been before our long Prem stint?)

he's not the new Gary Speed - but he's certainly not as utterly useless as some like to make out...
