Dougie is certainly giving the young lads a chance and I know he rates Chris Lester. He was on the bench in the home tie against Sunderland so I expect him, probably next season now, to start regularly breaking into the first teamTals-biggest-fan wrote:This Lester's name keeps popping up all around the place... not seen any of the development squad, is he good enough to keep and eye on?

did anyone go then or just me (thought we played really well although maybe did not deserve 2 - 0 win, sending off of reading player was more than fair, have spent the majority of my free time taking the p**s out of all the Reading lads I know that went)

Spurs beat West Ham 5-2 at Upton Park last night.mrkint wrote:Fifth round is away at either West Ham or Spurs so if you're back down this way then might be your next chance!
A game at the Lane for your kids.

On a Saturday night? :/ seems odd. 9th Feb the FA website says.
Still, might jaunt along to it if it's at the lane.

My mistake, we are at home to NUFC on the 9th (12:45 k.o) & we have Lyon on the 14th.mrkint wrote:On a Saturday night? :/ seems odd. 9th Feb the FA website says.

I will try & find out what venue they will be using.

Might it be the academy facilities at Bullsmoor Lane?
If so I'll definitely go. 10 minutes walk from my house.

FA Youth Cup games are always at the ground aren't they?

Heard talk it might be the 19th? Still nothing definite.
I think they play some youth cames at the new training facility at Hotspur Way (no spectators).
When the Youth team played Barca at WHL in the NextGen we had 8.9k spectators there!

Our Dan makes his article debut with a report on the Reading v Bolton Youth match. A small amount of editing used, but the words are all his own.
