Your favourite BWFC

Post by Wrighty92 » Thu Apr 25, 2013 4:46 pm

So I was thinking, try and pick an XI and bench of players who've played for Bolton in the times that you've had a season ticket. I'm only 21 so my first season ticket was the year that JayJay banged in 2 against Charlton on the opening day in a 4-1 win, remember it like it was yesterday!

Mine would be something like this:-

--------------------- Anelka -----------------------
----- Djorkaeff --------------------- Stelios --------
--------------------- Okocha ----------------------
---------------- Holden ---- Nolan -----------------
-- Gardner --- N'Gotty ------- Cahill ---- Steinsson -
----------------------- Jussi -----------------------

Subs - Al Habsi, Candela, Campo, Hierro, Speed, Chungy, Borgetti

Tough one leaving out players like SKD, Matty Taylor and even Mark Davies but I really liked Anelka and Borgetti so SKD doesn't make it in and when you think about, we've had some top centre mids in recent years. That season (think it was about 05/06) when Nolan took the captaincy from JayJay and bagged about 7 goals in consecutive games then didn't make the England squad behind Jermaine Jenas... what a joke!

I'm very sorry, and I'd love to indulge you on this. But it's been done to death..

These players only go back about 7 years of our million year history.

Where's Robbie Savage for example?
I'd rather support Bolton than be you.

But this time it has everyone's favorite 'whilst you've had a season ticket' stipulation.

..and for that reason i'm afraid it's a no from me. I'm out.
