Fantastic result and by all accounts a solid performance. Its starting to come together. The January transfer window could make or break the season, bring it on!
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Strange sensation today, first time for a fair while I wasn't troubled when the opposition were coming at us. Defence looked well organised and comfortable, we looked the team more likely to score for most of the game.
Not particularly dominant, but dare I say it, showing some of that structure and cohesion and other stuff. Playing a containing, counter attacking game is a lot easier with a striker that can strike too.
No doubt there's a setback just around the corner, wax and wane, wax and wane.

Controlling the game without the ball would you say?Enoch wrote:Strange sensation today, first time for a fair while I wasn't troubled when the opposition were coming at us. Defence looked well organised and comfortable, we looked the team more likely to score for most of the game.

Radio does my head in... The worst way to follow a game by far...
I was so nervous during the second half I went out in the cold and my Bolivian scarlet poncho to rake up leaves for half an hour...
Then cam back in to find the ref was playing what seemed like an hour and half of time added on...
A great result...

Not that I matters but that is 3 home games on the trot Watford have now lost.ChrisC wrote:Fantastic result. Watford don't lose many at home. I await BL3 and his reason why they are shit and reasoning as to why its not a good result at all.
Well done Whites!

BTW the goal is certainly worth watching to see the absolutely horrendous f**k up that Almunia made, it really was the worst goalkeeping mistake I have ever seen made.

I'm shocked by the absence of BLT and his marginally less shock jock imbued alter ego.Surely they dont just come on here to start arguements. As fans I'm sure both are cockahoop, quite possibly too busy celebrating to post.89bwfc89 wrote:CAPSLOCK wrote:Bollocks - fill yer bootsChrisC wrote:I'm enjoying it Bishthebish wrote:or we could just enjoy the result and not try to goad other posters into yet another argument!

Isnt that what happens when you hit a bad patch. Watford fans were a bit gloomy about this one. A lot of injuries , a poor run and some doubts about the noises being made by zola. Enough for me to back the whites at 3 to 1 on my accumilator which would have brought in 24 grand had coventry not had a mare yesterday.bwfcdan94 wrote:BTW the goal is certainly worth watching to see the absolutely horrendous f**k up that Almunia made, it really was the worst goalkeeping mistake I have ever seen made.
We've hit a bit of a run against a few teams that are slipping but can only beat what we play against. The key point is we now look more organised and commited,a fairly settled core line up is developing and players with poor attitudes are being left aside in favour of those prepared to work. We had a difficult start with a lot of injuries plus underperformances from experienced pros capable of better. DF seems to have turned that around and deserves a lot of credit for what he has achieved. We now have a sense of real momentum for the first time this season and it's not too late by any means.

If this unbeaten run is still on after the Wigan away game in a few weeks then I think every one of is doubters will need to give him credit.

Just watching fl show. Looks like coyle is starting to show his true colours. Some abysmal defending there.

We just have to take it one game at a time but like I said you can see the green shoots of recovery. Alright, we had a pish start but grinding out away results against the likes of our main promotion rivals is what it should be about.

Offish now has the highlights up:
Re: Three in a row? Pozzotively. No sting in this tale!
Looked good, just read on a Watford fans blog that he felt Almunia dropped the ball for the goal as Beckford had slid in on him earlier in the game. For me if the ball goes into the box and it's a 50/50 ball the striker is entitled to go for the ball
Pfffft.
