Championship Mid-Season Report Help

Post by Clyde1998 » Fri Dec 27, 2013 7:20 pm

Hi guys,

I'm writing a mid-season report for Reading site - The Tilehurst End.

I'm wondering whether you could help me with answering a few questions:
  • What was your best game of the season so far?
  • Who has been your best player?
  • Who has been your underperformer?
  • Who has been your best signing?
  • Do you believe you are underperforming, overachieving or are performing how you expected at the start of the season?
I'll get back with the final report when it is finished.

Clyde.

Thanks - I'll wait for some more before finishing this section off. I'll mention this site in the review as well. :)

I'm wondering whether you could help me with answering a few questions:
  • What was your best game of the season so far? Birmingham away, winning against a team in form.
  • Who has been your best player? Feeney initially for showing us a player who wasn't like a hare staring into the headlamps of an oncoming car. Lonergan though for looking more confident and solid between the sticks.
  • Who has been your underperformer? Eagles.
  • Who has been your best signing? Take your pick from the loan signings, apart from hologram who I hope we don't see.
  • Do you believe you are underperforming, overachieving or are performing how you expected at the start of the season? Underperforming.
I'll get back with the final report when it is finished.

1. Yeovil at home. Providing us with incontrovertible proof that we are managed by a fckwit.
2. Danns. Closely followed by McNaughton ... both loan players
3. Eagles, though v difficult to say why. Maybe related to#1 above
4. See 2
5. Underperforming to an extent which redefines the term.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

  • Who has been your best player? Tierney, but he's injured now.
  • Who has been your underperformer? Spearing - by a mile. Appears to hae been dragged down to Championship cloggerlevel.
  • Who has been your best signing? One of the loanees - either McNaughton or Danns. That lad from Millwall looked quite good too.
  • Do you believe you are underperforming, overachieving or are performing how you expected at the start of the season? Underperorming massively, due entirely to us having a stubborn 4uckwit for a manager.
May the bridges I burn light your way

I'm wondering whether you could help me with answering a few questions:
  • What was your best game of the season so far? Bonneymouth away
  • Who has been your best player? Bogdan
  • Who has been your underperformer? Difficult because I have such low expectations of our players now
  • Who has been your best signing? Baps
  • Do you believe you are underperforming, overachieving or are performing how you expected at the start of the season?

Best game - Doncaster at Home
Best player - Any one of our loan players really, which sums up how poor this season has been so far.
Underperformer - Freedman. After last years end of season run and a full pre season, the start this year has been a major let down.
Best signing - None of this seasons permanent signings have particularly stood out but Beckford is the one I have highest hopes for.
We're under performing. Coyle, imo, left a poor & disjointed squad. Just when it looked as though Freedman was sorting it we went bad again. I cant decide whether it's still a work in progress or he's just a chancer who's going to take us further downwards.

What was your best game of the season so far? Best performance was against Doncaster. Should have been mopre than 3 but they were so bad it's difficult to judge too much.
Who has been your best player? Danns and McNoughton
Who has been your underperformer? Take your pick really. Ngog probably.
Who has been your best signing? Andre Moritz
Do you believe you are underperforming, overachieving or are performing how you expected at the start of the season? Underperforming again. Worst start in the club's history was unacceptable and unexpected. Modest improvement since then but all in all very disappointing. Could yet be involved in a relegation battle unless the home form improves.
Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,

Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....
