His style of play hasn't changed at all. The players around him and the lack of movement has.

that would be a coherent and plausible explanation... I like chungy - always have - I wouldn't want to be getting rid just yet... at the start of the season we had a big eagles vs chungy debate - at the momwent i can't see that many clubs wetting their pants over either of them...

think you might be surprised wrt eagles - few fans of other teams I know rate him/ single him out as dangerman.

I know he's not always on his game but he's positive and wants to take people on and make things happen. strikes me as a kind of player who wants to take every free kick etc and don't think it helps him to be in and out of the side and for others to seemingly have taken the deadball specialist role (e.g. spearing !!!!)

The trouble with Eagles is that after his good performances in the early and latter parts of the last season he has reverted to his inconsistent showpony displays.

and I'd probably agree with you and also say that was the same for a number of the others. To which I'd point the finger at dougie with his inexplicable chop changing/ crap man management. I'd really love to see us have a bit of consistency in selection with a team that earns the shirt and then is rewarded with keeping it if it performs

DF at home "its individual errors that cost us, but we are creating chances and it'll come soon"

DF away: "Its fine lines, we're creating chances so I'm happy with that and it's close and will come together soon"

And what happens if somebody nips in the day his contract runs out/ the day Fulham offer him a new contract and offer him more money. Very risky strategy to play with your captain (Well not in our case because we have the muppet as captain).

I haven't seen the interview but I did see Eagles at Barnsley
