I have predicted he'd score in previous games - yes
It has to happen one day. It has too - And I want to be there too

Did you not witness either of his previous strikes for us!
Or indeed the one he scored in our goal.
No, not that one. The one when he was playing against us.

Re: Forest match thread
Being a Wanderer in Nottingham I ought to have my two 'peneth worth.
Having lived in Nottingham longer than Bolton, I've got to quite like Forest and County, but nothing compares to watching the Wanderers...I mean driving up the M1 / M62 / M61 for 2+ hours each way and sitting in the ESL and watching some of the rubbish we've served up in the Megson / Coyle era is such an enjoyable way to spend a Saturday.
Forest under Davies are a far cry from the beautiful teams and beautiful football that Cloughie used to play. They are a dirty / niggling team (next to bottom of fair play league ...only Blackpool have a worse record). The fans for some really strange reason love Billy Davies. Why I have no idea ! I've never rated his teams and he's full of soundbites when he talks to the press and he seems very selective as to who he speaks to in the press too.

Anyway, Forest will bring a shed load of fans. They will be noisy. They will sing 'mull of kintyre'.
I hope their is no afters bubbling under between "Reid and Medo" and if Pratley plays, I hope he keeps his head. Forest will be niggling the two of them !
They have a hairdresser between the sticks, who we didn't test at the City Ground.
It would be nice to take some of the many chances we seem to create and actually win comfortably. Maybe by 3 or 4. But then I'm always optimistic ...I had visions of us making a comeback at half time at ...cough cough ...Wembley
Anyway that's my two 'peneth
Attendance : 18,001 (Away Support 2401)
Weather : Damp and Dull
Score : 4-0 (Htime 3-0)
Scorers : Davies, Pratley, Lee, Own goal
Golden Gamble: John McGovern
Bookings : About 6
Carrs Pastie Winner : East Stand (Scoreboard Corner block)
PA System : Still not working right !
Referee : Good Game
Btw : they have a statue of Cloughie in the centre of Nottingham. It's quite a nice statue too...I always say hello to him when I walk past him,,,and sometimes take a picture

Sam being out Samed?TANGODANCER wrote:Forest needed closing down much higher up the pitch today. They gave West Ham no time on the ball yet the Hammers tried the cool Prem Speed approach. As we saw, it didn't work. Every time they attacked they were hassled and a quick break resulted to the other end. Forest weren't afraid to move the ball fast and shoot instead of trying intricate passing build ups that got nowhere. They were direct and their passes and ball control excellent. Attacking won the day without a doubt. No easy game ahead for us, but we can get something out of it.
Don't read too much into it I don't think he really gave a toss about tht game.
Re: Forest match thread
I can sense this, we are going to feckin do em. 4-1 to the supa whites.

Re: Forest match thread
Its amazing how at the start of the season with all the hope and optimism we took 2400 to Forest, you watch when we go down to Derby in March we wont even take 500.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Ok well I don't think we will take more to Reading on a Saturday then despite it being a direct train from Manc.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Aaaaah. Ta. I recall him.
I was thinking of a player or manager.
I guess we can expect another visit from him soon.

Taking the girlfriend to football for the first time tomorrow as she wants to know why I have a painting of Nat Lofthouse in my living room.
Her previous football experience is, incredibly, as follows,
Flamengo-Fluminense derby in Rio
Boca-River derby in Buenos Aires
Man United - Bolton. (3-0)
Doing some exams at the Reebok.
It'll be similar to these experiences I'm sure. More likely to be the second two though. But colder. I don't expect it to be a regular thing.
