Next season I'd prefer Keith Andrews over Trotter any day.
I'd prefer Eamonn Andrews to Trotter !!
Or Julie.

 I'm gonna stick my neck out and say that Trotter will be a revelation next season... there - said it - you can pillory me now but then eat crow next season (and pretend you all thought it anyway, no doubt!)

In which way "a revelation" ? Apocalyptic I'm guessing.

Believe me, should you be proven right I will admit I was wrong.

Don't wait up.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I doubt were paying Trotter 25kpw though, to be fair.

I doubt we're paying him £1m a week. What's the relevance?

I'm not going to disagree with you. he has decent form behind him in this league. I just object to him getting so much game time this season when clearly out of form. I hope he does do well, just like I was pleased for Pratley when he hit a decent run of form.
Dougie has signed players in the past who he has held back because they needed to be educated on taught to run or something, then throws this lad in from the start when he wasn't up to it. He's done him no favours, would be delighted to see Trotter come good.

Well, given we're not paying Andrews £1m a week, I dunno.

Hold on there LeverEnd, that might be construed as saying Freedman isn't dogmatic, or something. I hope he doesn't start messing about with doing odd stuff, how would we know which way was up?!!

I know little of this Trotter chap. I've 'bookmarked' certain comments and will watch with interest as the story unfolds.

is it mere coincidence that such proclamations of faith in Trotter (assuming he's will be ours) appear at the same time as dougie gives us another of his classic you feckers have no idea .... “I thought he was excellent against Barnsley and I know there are sections of the crowd who can’t see what I can see, but given time, they will,” he said.

Eh? It's all well and good trying to read between the lines, but sometimes all that there is between the lines is blank space.

All I'm saying is, to anyone who says they'd rather have Andrews over Trotter next year, you might want to factor in the astronomical wages Andrews is supposedly on that (I assume) Trotter isn't.

As it happens, unless we see some miraculous transformation of Trotter over the next few weeks, or it turns out he's actually paying us £25kpw to play for us, then I'd rather we had neither next year and got someone good in (if we even need any more bloody midfielders) and not on Premier League wages.

Can we bookmark this too please?, since within a month or two folk will be saying Dougie never said it, he was misquoted, or he had his fingers crossed at the time

they really ARE out to get you, Staffs - I'd get your tin-foil hat on straightaway - it's the only way to stop yourself being mind-controlled by the sinister dougie mind-control-machine...

(I don't know what you mean by "such proclamations of faith" - I presume you mean my ONE post? and as I don't get the BeN or read it on line - yeah - a coincidence...)

'Craig Davies was an unused substitute in the game for Preston.'

Having scored a hat trick nine days ago, unbelievable.

Grayson out!

Dougie had it written into his loan agreement. 'If he starts scoring, drop him before he gets tired.'

PS I'll almost guarantee Marv will be dropped next game.

He's bang on form: that's 3 in 1 game after 4 in his other 31 for Charlton

Which the statisticians will record as 7-in-32. Or 1-every-4+1/2-games. Sounds good on paper!
