You might be right DSB. As we found out, a bad start can be mighty difficult to get out of.

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
The headline figure is 11M but I think that most is in installments and the majority is success based. They've probably in reality paid £2M with the rest dependent upon performance.
If he takes em back up, then money well spent I guess. If he doesn't then presumably much less than £11M will actually change hands.
Whether it is a good buy or not it shows the way this league will probably go. Some relegated sides with the higher and higher parachute payments will be tempted spend big in their first two years to get around FFP, hope to buy their way back up then enjoy the luxury of another set of premiership payments. The fact that such a poor business model could in some cases result in success (see QPR) only goes to show how flawed the football finance model really is, including FFP!

So on that basis we paid about £500k for Sordell?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

9m out of 11m is a lot of add-ons. Can't see it myself.

They initially offered £17 million but the owner wouldn't accept that.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

A Leeds fan in one of our other offices seems to think it's £9m up front. £2m if they get promoted during the duration of his contractAbdoulaye's Twin wrote:9m out of 11m is a lot of add-ons. Can't see it myself.

McCormack obviously wouldn't go for £2m up front. He's worth far more to Leeds than that, so £9m up front sounds likely.

Thats nuts for a transfer between two championship sides. Says to me getting us out this time is going to be the toughest yet (promotion not demotion!).

That'd have made Elmander £1.6m...Lord Kangana wrote:So on that basis we paid about £500k for Sordell?

A Gambian striker has been training with the team this week. Moudu Barrow plays in the second division of Swedish football with Ostersunds.

Looks amazing. I particularly like the last clip where it shows that he can run like Forrest Gump!

One of the Swedish sites (no, not that kind) reported that they were looking for around £500k for him.

On the evidence presented, I'm ecstatic that we've unearthed a man capable of a good couple of step-overs a game, followed by an average of .33 of a decent cross. Premier League here we come!

Careful now, don't get carried away. They are his best bits. The average will be not as impressive as you're making out.Lord Kangana wrote:On the evidence presented, I'm ecstatic that we've unearthed a man capable of a good couple of step-overs a game, followed by an average of .33 of a decent cross.
