Yeah we're playing pretty dire at the moment but it doesn't mean that there are no positives surrounding the club. And it also could be a lot worse.
Are you by any chance related to Mr Freedman ?....just asking like.
No. I just think there are positives. There are just much more impacting negatives such as not being very good. But there are positives above 'Seeing Freedman look like an emotional wreck', definitely.

I'll remember to not post anything positive in the future, didn't know that was a rule.

Why does "fvckers" (with a"u") get bowdlerised into "feck"?

It doesn't just stop it from being rude, it's not even that it makes it ungrammatical, it's the fact that it no longer makes sense that I don't like.

Mods - sort out your automated censorship system.

I mean if I can write the word "JesusBastardCuntingChrist" but not the word "feck*" (that's with a "u" and an "er" at the end), then the system is broken.

On the other hand, how are you going to stop me portmanteau-ing the word "c*nt", for example as shitecuntarseholes, without censoring next season's opponents, Scunthorpe? Eh?

Give it some thought.

Aaaaaaaanyway, tonight was hardly a shining example of this keeping-it-tight idea, was it?

We outscored them though, which is the objective of the game. I get confused to why he persists with defensive tactics (which can, and have worked in the past) when the results seem much more effective when we go for it.

Even during last season and one or two moments this season, there would be times in games where we would put them on the back foot for 20/30 minutes and I felt like we could score goals, and we did sometimes. Just wish we would take confidence in that rather than the other two thirds of the game.

Well, they only scored two in a full 120 minutes - that's like less then two per 90 minute game.

And it was only like 1 really as we hadn't started when they got their first.

Stunning.

Which is what makes it all the more annoying when DF says (after Brighton):
Unfortunately today we were a little bit open – it was a case of ‘you have a couple (of chances), we’ll have a couple’ – but that’s not the way I want to play. I want there to be one chance, and we win 1-0. We need to get back to how we were playing last season.

I am now convinced that Dougie has gone mad. Really. I've just come from the BN where he's saying that we need 'new blood'.

Isn't this a squad made up of players he's signed? Who else is he after? What does that say about the players he's signed so far and his ability to spot a player or work with what he's got?

Who does he want to sign? Ronaldo? Messi?

Or is he actually talking about actual blood to feast on and sacrifice to his lord and master the Devil (or the PG Chimp to give him his full name)?

Someone should have a quiet word with him and ask him if he's 'ok'.

He might need a lie down in a dark room for a bit before he does something crazy.
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

DF, in BN:
Fans know it, I know it, you guys know it, of course we need new blood in there. But the simple fact is that our finances are tighter than they are at other clubs and so we can’t go out and buy them. I’m trying to keep on top of what I can and it’s definitely frustrating because we definitely need some freshness in there. There are a couple of players who maybe don’t give us what we need – so we do need two or three attacking players.
Who? Who's left that you haven't signed or re-signed? And why are you saying that to the media?

I like these behind-the-scenes videos... in this one right at the end as the team is about to go out Mills says in the direction of the more attacking players "if we go 1 or 2 nil up don't ****in' stop". Just thought that was interesting in this discussion.

Interesting indeed (and yes the videos are good) - did he say that in front of Freedman?

Is that something that's endemic in the modern striker?

Heaven help we get another 30+goal a season centre-forward but do strikers feel that 10 goals a season is enough now?

Doing the bare minium to draw a wage is usually a realm that only public sector workers can aspire to.
