Player of the Season?
Got to thinking about this and it's no easier than last term.
Had he not fallen foul of injury I think it might well have been the much maligned Pratley, but looking at those that have played 30 or more league games I can only see 2 candidates.
I've always got a question mark over Mills, so I'd have to give it back to the equally maligned, slightly less questionable, some time curdling, Ream.
Still time to go mind.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'd go with...... Lonners, Pratley , Vela, Dannsy
in that order
I think Lonners has saved us a fair few points this season

Re: Player of the Season?
Errr....tricky one. Clough has only played 10. I might give him young player of the year. CYL has probably had the largest impact once Lennon took over - but I'm guessing because he's no longer with us, that's out.
I'd probably go...
1) Pratley
2) Lonergan
3) Anybody but Tim Ream.

Re: Player of the Season?
He'd be my pick too on what I've seen as much for attitude as anything . He's had some great games in our better performances and dug in on the poorer ones . Like the fact he doesn't flounce and just gets on with it whatever he's asked to do . Shame some of our previous more talented wingers didn't have his mentality ( like that diva from burnley or the Bulgarian fella we had )officer_dibble wrote:Feeney for me

Re: Player of the Season?
I like Feeney, IMO he has a great attitude and has had to come out of his comfort zone to play in a few different positions. He's obviously not the greatest but he is trier and he does manage to get the ball into the box.
Re: Player of the Season?
Has to be Lonergan. When he came in he could have so easily played with a 'fck it, I'll be dropped when Boggers is fit again' attitude. Instead he proved himself to be one of the best keepers in the division. Albeit with a dodgy taste in knitwear.......

Re: Player of the Season?
Most improved player - Darren Pratley
Best young player - Zac Clough
Player of the season? Over the course of the season I'd go for Dorian Dervite.

Re: Player of the Season?
From what I've seen (mainly heard) we owe an awful lot to the men between the sticks. No bad keepers here and Amos has played his part as Bogdan did earlier on. Both deserve plaudits, but on that basis I'd give it to Andy Lonergan.

Re: Player of the Season?
Very tricky this year. It can't be a defender. Then, goalkeepers... Lonergan has played the most but he's arguably not the best goalkeeper that has played for us in 2015. So, that leaves Danns/Feeney in the 30+ers. It's a shame the two young strikers got injured, Clough woulda been up there, surely. Maybe ALF if he gets a hat trick on Saturday!
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.
Re: Player of the Season?
It can't be Lonners because he's arguably not been our best keeper in 2015, but it could be Clough or ALF?! I can say for definite that neither of those was out best striker in 2014!
