As long as the bar isn't shut.

It wasn't shut; it was "temporarily closed for cleaning".

"Party atmosphere at The Macron", sayeth the mic man, as the last train to Horwich Parkway chuffs in from any direction but Bolton. Claims that one and all will be glad to see the end of this season. We go...

Lots of chat amongst the mic men about not very much as ...Heskey bangs a volley into outer space. Not time to pop over to the home site for the team...anybody? The orange men have a sally but it's a nothing.

Mention the play a bit lads if you don't mind and.....a bit of home possession ends in a clearance.
Long effort from then and it results in a corner and......Dyre gets involved but Bogdan was sharp. Plenty fan noise as we have a quick sally and Alf gets us a free up close. And....and.....and....
Eidur.....and....everybody wants it and.....the keeper saves it. End to end then they have a dash but Player of the Year does well. Threlkeld clears not well and they make noises that fizzle out.
Who's Taylor?

Bannan picks up and feeds Davies.....bit of passing and a snapper from Alf goes close, but not close enough. Eidur cross goes out as we try a sally or two. Did I predict a good win for us today? Now they come but Threlkeld, then Moxey scramble it clear. "Gray looks a threat", we're told as a free kick gets cleared and Fabrini wins one in return. Bannan wins a yellow card and goes on the Christmas card list.

They come, Grey again, Eidur breaks it and.....Alf crosses and it goes out. Eidur getting the early good words. Bogdan pick up an effort from about Preston and it starts again. Bogdan sets it and we venture forth with a few passes. They clear from Alf....

Alf goes and....wins a corner. Bannan and.....ohhh, Ream misses it well. We go, they clear, Alf gets lucky and misses a card. They have a dabble via Gray, then Fabrini, then Dyre...but we clear and...Heskey doesn't get a free kick. Comment about Mark Davies not doing a lot before they show a bit of interest and win a throw. Dyer again and....a pass or two. Gray again and.....Moxey gets in the way. We go and...Taylor gets the words and wins a throw. Alf...Heskey....peters out after a bit of smarts from Threlkeld. We get a corner..cleared to Moxey....down our way than we trot up again. Mark Davies and......shaves a post from twenty yards.

To and fro, we win it again and.....some passing and....we come to Alf, Eidur, Threlkeld....and they defend well. Talk of nice approaching but now Dyer and Fabrini sally and our Player of the Year legs it clear. Us again and.....Davies, Danns, Threlkel (let's call him Oscar). Taylor gets a bit unlucky with a challenge and they get the kick. And....Moxey clears....twice and gets the good words from mic man.

Some press from them but Bogdan has it and clears. Heskey gets whacked from behind to no avail before a bit of posession ends in a block. Throw us and....Alf, Moxey and a Danns daisy-cutter gets keepered. And....Eidur....and....Heskey, Oscar and.......ooooohhhhh Heskey gets a good, but not good enough header in. Oscar winning the er, Oscar this half and.....Eidur almost works something before a counter attack goes over for a goal kick us.

Eidur getting the chocolate awards so far this half. Goes again but loses out. We get a throw....
and....Taylor, Oscar....and cleared. Oscar sounding really doing good before we almost get a break. Grey gets blocked and we clear and.....Moxey.....and....Danns and Bannan and Bannan again but cleared. Dyer....Donaldson, Grey.....slis and Dyer again and Fabrini and.....cleared by Taylor then.......a skidder goes wide for them. Bannan laying a bit of law down. Now Alf, throw and....Danns and...Moxey and.....Davies, Eidur...and it all falls down and Grey almost feeds Dyer.
Dangerous spell before Spektre gives us a throw. Bit of retreat possesion us then....a few sales reps from Thomas Cooke hand out holiday specials to the players. Grey corner and.....it's O-1 after a defensive cock up. Great.....not....

A lacadasical corner and some more lacadisical defending and we're behind ....again. Why always from sloppy goals? Donaldson wins another corner and......scrambled clear before they press again and a volley whistles to nowhere....thankfully. GET A GRIP WHITES.......GET A GRIP. Oh, here we go and....Mavies gets a yellow for his card set. One goal them, two yellows us as a bit of a splutter ends the half....no, it doesn't and.....Bannan sends one at a corner flag. 0-1.

Part two, Act one, Scene one: Crowd enter market place from stage centre tavern. Man dressed in black (I think) places a mulberry bush down and blows a whistle..

And.....away we go again...to comments that brass monkeys didn't turn up today because of the weather. Bit parky then? Few comments about all sorts of things from the mic men including Dougie's lot being 2-0 down (as if anybody cares) then......then....some more chat about owt and nowt then.....walkie talkie man has a go then.....have they all gone home...? Ah, no sub changes but a new ref. That's different as the visitors sally forth. Good fan turn out by the Brummies.....Eidur bangs one at the keeper that goes for a throw. And.....we score but the liner calls it for offside. Ref gave it, liner said no.
