Every now and then, some minor (or major) miracle comes along just to keep us cynics/realists on our toes.
Let's hope the Resurrection of Stu Holden's Career turns out to one of those special times.

Stories in the US report that Coyle is favourite for the Houston Dynamo head coach position. With Stuey out of contract, could he be persuaded to join Houston instead of us?

Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.
Re: Holden on to nothing?
If he does, he does, doubt he'd ever be the same player he was at one stage.malcd1 wrote:http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com/2014 ... g-vacancy/

Anyway I cannot see what would make any player want to sign for that dickhead.

Owners are AEG (Anschutz Entertainment Group) so a lot if concert tickets and they would indeed take a lot of bankrupting.a1 wrote:a giant hypno coin, i'm guessing.

Odds on that Stuey goes 'back' to Houston now. Possibly also see him try and take Eagles from Seasiders

Re: Holden on to nothing?
not exactly an earth shattering update but stu posted this on his facebook today
Anytime I'm on TV, I get the inevitable "Get back on the field, why are you on TV so much" shout from friends and foes! All I can say is that the process of healing takes time and a man needs to eat!!! I'm sure MOST are aware by now that I have NOT been under contract with Bolton since July 2014. While my plan is still to return to action with the club, I've taken this opportunity to further my footsteps in the TV world and prepare for life after football (whenever that may be). It's something I certainly enjoy doing and hope to do post career, but not ready to do it full time quite yet! I thank you for your continued support. I'm not certain what he's saying here. I suspect neither is he !
At a guess .... he's not ready to give up yet, but deep down knows he needs to.

Exactly that. Isn't sure he can set himself up for another disappointment because he knows what's coming 5, 10 or 20 games in, as do we all.bobo the clown wrote:http://www.theplayerstribune.com/stuart ... ry-soccer/

He'll not be on the bread-line but he had a lot more to give and I feel for the guy.

Re: Holden on to nothing?
Pretty honest self-assesment. Sounds like the psychological fear of it all happening again is ever present at the back of his mind. Real shame and I hope he can go through it. Good luck to him but I doubt we'll see him in a Bolton shirt again. I'd love to be wrong. Lousy luck for somebody so young.

I feel for they guy, I would love to see him in A Bolton shirt again. He's not quite accepted retirement in his head yet, he's fighting it, sounds as though he'd love to give it another go and boy I would love to see him on that pitch again!!

The fact he's doubting it, shows me he's probably finished for good.
If there's one player though, that I would love to see pull on a shirt and walk out in front of a big crowd, even for one more game - It would be Stu

Completely agree. If that's not possible I'd like t do what we never got the chance to with Campo or Stelios and see him return for a bow.boltonboris wrote:The fact he's doubting it, shows me he's probably finished for good.
