Pisano and Casado are set to get a run out. Osede should be fit and raring to go. Will Clayton make his long-awaited appearance? Could we even see Wheater limp off for the second time in a month? Crikey, there might even be a deadline-day striker in the line-up. The excitement is positively palpable.

Don't knock 'em.

Got 2 superb Jimanez bass guitars in my local one. £400 & £800 for an 8 string.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Neil Lennon confirms Derik Osede, as well as other recent signings, will feature at Fir Park.

Neil Lennon has confirmed that he will use Saturday’s testimonial game at Motherwell to give valuable game time to a number of his Bolton Wanderers players.

Francesco Pisano, Jose Manuel Casado and Derik Osede are all yet to feature in a competitive game since signing for Bolton and could feature in the game at Fir Park.

The manager also revealed that a number of injured players are making positive strides in their respective recoveries, and that they too could also make the trip north of the border this weekend.

“We’ve got some new players in - Wellington Silva, Francesco Pisano, Jose Manuel Casado – and there’s no doubting that they will make us better.

“Darren Pratley is also nearing a return, as is Max Clayton, so our squad is starting to look stronger again after a pretty hectic start to the season.

“We’ll use the game at Motherwell to give minutes to players that need the game time. Derik Osede will get a run out, as will the lads who have joined us recently.

“After this weekend we’ll be right back at work ramping things up ahead of the game against Wolves. We’re hopefully our squad will be in a good position come then.”

I've just had a look at the details of Jose Manuel Casado's career-to-date. In terms of aspiration and achievement it's almost a mirror image of LeverEnd's time spent in pedagogy

Does that require him signing a register on a regular basis and having a CRB check ?

A seven year old scored for Motherwell. Sheesh.

Edit : three..a three year old.

Our defence worries me at times.

Well anyone expecting a lark in the park (other than the fun and frolics in the last 5 minutes) will have been sorely disappointed. It wasn't quite all guns blazing but it was a very professional performance by our lot. Bit of a surprise that Campbell started in goal but he did well enough. Osede and Finney looked very assured at the back. The two new full backs seemed to be comfortable on the ball. The wingers performed much better once they switched sides - Walker on the right doesn't really work at the moment. All the subs slotted in well (with the exception of the unfeasibly languid Trotter) with Woolery provided the missing pace up front. If we can just find a moderately lethal striker we should be fine this season.

Oh, and Quade has shaved his sideburns off. Boooooo!

I did, but then it's not that far from Edinburgh. We weren't spectacular but I was pleased that we used it as a decent workout rather than a piss about. I was surprised that both Dobbie and Heskey started but that just shows how bare the striker cupboard is.

Just before Lasley's toddler came on for Motherwell, club legend 52-year old Steve Kirk rolled on to the pitch. He's certainly put his feet up since retiring. Put me in mind of conjoined Jardels.
