A fifth clean sheet, yielding just a fifth point. Because we appear not to have a clue how to score. That's one in six since the last international break. And today, just three efforts on target.
The players' quality is questionable, but I'm certain it's not being maximised.

It shouldn't come any easier than having a free shot from 12 yards away, when the defence has kept a clean sheet.
I reckon BBC have a hot key for "Shot Missed, Gary Madine, Bolton Wanderers"

Something has to give now, doesn't it?
Whether it's a new manager, a new owner, or money for a proper goalscorer, we can't carry on like this. If we were a dog, we would have been put down.

The problem we have is, to get a new owner, there has to be one that wants to buy us. Clearly ain't much cash around unless that occurs, so that just leaves new manager as it stands....

Aye from about 2 yards.
He was possibly our best player after he missed the penalty but it's proved so costly. Never looked like scoring it to me but someone on the way out was chuntering that he'd score 10 out of 10 pens for Newcastle. Not sure how accurate that was.
Madine has got to hit the target with the two headers he had. We're desperate for a striker.

Ha! I'm sure it was that cheery thought that I kept hearing when it was clear we weren't going to flirt Coyle but still looked like going down..."It'll be some different grounds" they said, "I'm bored with the Prem" they said, "It'll be great to win for a change" they said...Fck me.CrazyHorse wrote:Be reet.

I do now have the awful feeling that if we're adrift by Christmas, Garty will put us into administration and take the 12 point hit. Without some new talent coming in and quickly, we're fecked. The heads have gone down, including mine. I'm almost apathetic about it all now.

Administration isn't happening. Frustrates me that people keep banging on about it being a possibility.Bijou Bob wrote:I do now have the awful feeling that if we're adrift by Christmas, Garty will put us into administration and take the 12 point hit. Why the juddering feck would we go into administration? So Eddie can pay himself 10p in the pound?

According to the rumoured £30m asking price, he's only shooting for 20p in the pound anyway - but I don't think people have thought through the nature of our debt. And by "people" I mean some journalists (Jeff Stelling was on about it earlier), other fans and even Bolton fans. This isn't the usual debts to other creditors who can lock the gates. I'm not entirely sure it's even possible for Eddie to call in the receivers but if he did, and that therefore guarantees the relegation we appear to be beavering towards anyway, how on Earth does that help him achieve his aim of selling the club?

£30mil - so we have the same valuation as Leeds United - who have a bigger fan base.

You all seem to be presuming we can service the bank debt we are carrying. Admittedly small beer compared to what we owe ED, but it still has to be paid.

Fckg hell Bob. Not you as wellBijou Bob wrote:You all seem to be presuming we can service the bank debt we are carrying. Admittedly small beer compared to what we owe ED, but it still has to be paid.
WE don't owe ED that money, ED owes ED that money... & you're right, "we" might struggle to even meet the interest he gets on it. So the club could collapse .... and ED loses that bit as well.
He's not going to do that. It'd be like setting fire to your own, uninsured, house coz the mortgage is proving difficult. I admit that I'm perplexed that he doesn't see that by spending a bit more he can prevent our failure growing further but he seems to have chosen to do so.
Something has to happen but Administration in the normal sense of it won't be what occurs. When that is done the creditors get only a fraction of what they're owed. In this case he owes it himself. Why (even if it was legal to do so) ... why the feckedy feck would he do that ????
Oh & Nelson .... Leeds don't own a hotel, or office block or their ground or their car parks. They sold them off many years ago.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Bristol City (H) 7.11.15
As I understand it, we have a separate amount now owed to the banks as a short term overdraft. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we default on payment or the bank panics and calls in the loan early, either someone bails us out, or we go into administration.
