Aye. I'm not convinced their test has ever been subjected to serious scrutiny by people who know what a test should test.

any such lumping or categorising you did for yourself! :D
Well us panic fannies have got to stick together, but like autistics we're a broad spectrum. 8)

Well I for one do not want to google 'panic fannies stick together'

None of this is confirmed but this morning Iles says "he would be surprised if this information is wrong".

IF this is true it suggests a deal must be fairly close and that also the Holdsworth bid may have some serious players behind it. I've heard rumours of other similarly rich backers involved.

Hope springs eternal and all that. Hopefully January brings more concrete good news.
Peter Emerson Jones of Orbit & Emerson group..

It would make a lot of sense for him to still want a football club at the retail park, as otherwise, it'll close.

His housing company (Jones Homes) could also have an interest in the land at Euxton should it not be needed by us and could be a real shot in the arm financially

Indeed. It is why this actually makes sense.

Hopefully it is true and we can have some good concrete news next year!

I'm not sure if he s or isn't part of the consortium though.. Probably just a worried person with a vested interest in our survival

In which case one would hope he doesn't mind donating a small wedge to Her Majesty's Customs and Excise.

Alderley Edge - sorry if its a stupid question,Tango, but were you referring to Orbit? That's where its registered.
Pure coincidence mate since I know nothing about Orbit or whatever. Years ago I worked for a security firm that patrolled the money folks' mansions in the Alderley Edge area, that's all I know. It was widely accepted as the stockbroker belt.
I haven't a lot of info but Orbit were partners of BWFC in the development of the Reebok and seem to have other significant interests in the Middlebrook including an office there. But the sale and lease back of part of the car park about six months ago for £5.5million was reported to be with Prescot Business Parks, on the face of it a much smaller outfit with a registered office on Chorley New Road.
Raising money from BWFC's property interests seems to be the key to potential survival and may be the lure for would be owners.

It would be interesting to know who owned the Middlebrook but the demise of the club might reduce the value of the estate. I can't envisage visiting bars or shops at the Middlebrook if BWFC wasn't there.
Or perhaps even raise the value of the estate! Middlebrook, the Bolton Trafford Centre! Not done that place any harm not having footie ball club next to it!! I,ll be extremely worried until I know for sure that BWFC will continue and be viable.Even a billionaire could take over for his own personal gain! Sceptic!!!! Not me..

Close!?
Stupidest statement made in a great number of years, Asda would shut? Tesco would shut? Argos close etc. etc.
Give your heads a shake, BWFC only contribute once or occasionally twice fortnightly to the retail park and not at all through the summer!
