More than one owl? Count me in! SWFC away 12/1

Nine months since our last away win. How many points on the road this season?

Doesn't make any difference, a loss is a loss. Going down anyway :(
Better for the paying customers though, right?

Three. W0 D3 L10 F9 A28.
Fewest away points and most away goals conceded in the division, and only Charlton have scored fewer away.

EDIT It's actually the fewest away points of any team in the Football League.

Remember the days in the premiership under Allardyce when upon checking the results it would be a shock if we lost?
It's nowhere near the exiting anticipation I feel this season awaiting that away win! It's all about being a Wanderer :oyea:

Story of our season so far- missed chances and individual errors. We deserved more and got nowt. Irritating that the match winner was a guy we wanted, could probably have attracted, but couldn't afford.

That shouldn't have been a problem - we couldn't afford any of the numpties either.

Thanks, DSB. I knew it was bad, so wanted to avoid having to look it up! Sorting out the away form - say, to 0.75ppg - would go a long way to giving us a fighting chance of staying up (admin points deduction aside).

I imagine he points out what useless tossers they are, and then intimates they might get stabbed, then tells them it won't be by him.

We played well and were unlucky to lose that one. At least we've still got some fight, a bit of quality, and a smidgen of a chance of staying up. As long as we don't get deducted 12 points anyway.

Whisper it, perhaps, but I've still not yet given up on this season. Here come the ifs: if we avoid admin and get stable and quite possibly replace the manager then we might just turn this round. We aren't getting hammered very often and yet again we showed backbone by equalising twice.

Wednesday's 2nd and 3rd goals were dreadful defending

2nd goal, the ball is crossed into the box, Dervite and Wheater running back (I use the term running only to describe the movement, perhaps I should have said plodding back) and the ball beats them both...PATHETIC

3rd goal, Wheater appeals for a foot up or handball when he attempts to tackle Hooper and STOPS , he stands STILL appealing to the ref and Hooper just blasts it in. PATHETIC

Defence cannot defend
Attack cannot score
Midlfield no pace, fluency and passing
Keeper seems a shadow of last season, confidence shot, flaps at long distance shots

That's why we're going down. Well assuming we have a club to go down next week.

I am dreading FOREST on Saturday. My 'home' game, which I am seriously worried could be our last ever game if we are wound up by HMRC

DIRECTOR's NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE
EDDIE DAVIES : You cannot just 'take your ball home' because you've had enough.
You are all directors of a company, you have a duty of care to act responsible, act for the benefits of the company , not act for benefits of yourself .It is mandatory requirement that as directors you are fit and proper persons. I hope HMRC strike you all off as directors and prosecute you for the way you have been trading

Ahh I feel a bit better now !

Hope springs eternal for me. But this is football: A bad home defeat at Huddersfield and I'm ready to chuck in the towel, and a narrow away defeat at Wednesday and I've got belief again.

It's ups and downs, but at least we're still in it.

Unless we get deducted 12 points.

I just looked at the table and was surprised to see we are "only" 6 points adrift.

If it was normal off the pitch I'd still be hopeful, we're a semi-regular goalscorer away from being a mid-table team IMO. However, even if we don't lose the 12 points, we're probably losing Mavies, Clough and Vela which is going to be v damaging to the team and morale.

Without a takeover and some transfer funds before the window slams shut I fear we're domed.

Oh well, news grounds (though f all down here) and we might even win a few :D!
