Just to point out that Cardiff got embargoed yesterday so wherever Vela's going in the next couple of weeks it's unlikely to be there.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

They've appealed. Whether that makes a difference I've no idea.bobo the clown wrote:Just to point out that Cardiff got embargoed yesterday so wherever Vela's going in the next couple of weeks it's unlikely to be there.

SW: This is Shola Ameobi's last week at the club. We're not in a position to keep him. It's a shame. You want players with experience. #BWFC

It's not a shame though really is it? After a promising start he's been shite. I wish him well but he needs to call it quits. Now give the younger lads a chance. The worst they can do is not score while we lose games. Walford is a dick.midlands exile wrote:Bolton Wanderers FC @OfficialBWFC · 1h1 hour ago

A shame? He's hardly being played and a central part of the team is he?LeverEnd wrote:It's not a shame though really is it? After a promising start he's been shite. Tell him to take Heskey, Madine and that clown that only ever comes on in the 92nd minute with him!

See, I take your point about Madine, he often flatters to deceive, yet he will undoubtedly get double figures in a very poor team this year. It's a good few seasons since anyone achieved that and possibly the mark of a bloke who deserves some time?Bruce Rioja wrote:Tell him to take Heskey, Madine and that clown that only ever comes on in the 92nd minute with him!

Undoubtedly? Not sure about that - We're over the halfway mark and he's got 5 to his nameBijou Bob wrote:See, I take your point about Madine, he often flatters to deceive, yet he will undoubtedly get double figures in a very poor team this year. We're in 2016 now - could be his year (especially if we end up one division lower)

We are stuck with Madine, and although he's usually shit, he's not without ability and still has the capacity to improve. I'd like to see him under a new manager before totally writing him off, although it's tempting.
Heskey sounds like a good character to have around with his PFA stuff and bits of coaching, plus can come on and jump into people. Ameobi is totally surplus.

Madine will bundle some in at League 1 level because he's done it before. That's his level. There is no scope for improvement. He's had a lot of minutes in the Championship and it is quite simply a bridge too far. That's the conclusion. Find this post in 3 years and let me know where he's at. The lanky shite.

Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr
A problem with our front men has been a recurring factor since Kevin Davies lead the line. Fire the high ball in a forwards direction and expect him to win it and create fireworks without any support. Refs seem quite used to big central defenders jumping all over front men, shirt pulling and a shove in the back all going unnoticed. Have we really had anybody "fox in the box" sharp before Clough ( when he's available) and since Ivan Klasnic went? Apart from the odd occasions when Spearing is in favour or Danns is considered, do we ever actually shoot at goal at all? Ward was bombing shots at us from all angles on Saturday, what did we offer in reply? One decent shot from Feeney and a couple of missed headers?( Yes, I know we only had ten, but that was a one-off). Surely everbody we play knows we'll just rely on Feeney, maybe Silva, to get a cross of some sort in for Madine, or on occasion Wheater, to try and head? Our cavalry are still using horses whilst the rest of the world operate on motor bikes. With Mark Davies scheduled for the exit lounge and if Clough goes, it's going to be one miserable season right to the end. Somebody shoot...ffs.
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?
Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr
I actually think Shola has done alright at Bolton. Got us a point against Leeds and his general hold-up play has been better than Madine's or Heskey's. He just hasn't been fit enough to play more often.

Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr
Give over, he's absolutely shite. He's missed more from 2 foot out than he's managed to score, and as for him holding the ball up, I'm utterly baffled as to how a lad that's about 6'2" and weighs around 80 Kg is knocked off the ball easier than I've ever seen from anybody. How we've got from Anelka to this shithouse is football's greatest mystery.Bijou Bob wrote:See, I take your point about Madine, he often flatters to deceive, yet he will undoubtedly get double figures in a very poor team this year.
