Iggy, do you think that ED is likely to be thinking the same though? Who would want to be the chairmen of Wanderers at the moment?

Re: The New Freedman Poll
To be honest I think ED has all but given up at the moment, which is not surprising at all. I honestly have no idea of anyone who would be willing to take Gartsides place, but I still want him and Dougie gone. The predicament we find ourselves in at the moment is simply not acceptable for our club.TKIZ! wrote:I knew I could count on you Bish!thebish wrote:Hughton - we have a problem?

Maybe they should start holding interviews outside the turnstyles on matchdays

"I think [Freedman has] got the tools in his bag to be a more successful manager than Allardyce."

or we could ask Dan if he wants it?IggyTheDawgster wrote:To be honest I think ED has all but given up at the moment, which is not surprising at all. Phil Brown short term contract until the end of the season....then review, no long term contract until he can prove himself.
Personally I think Brownie would come back in a shot for very little salary until the end of the season - low risk appointment and may be able to motivate this set of players, he's a much more upbeat positive character then DF, then again everyone is !

I'd rather give Jimmie Phillips a shot before Brown.

Pulis would be my number one candidate. Whether he would come/we could afford him is a different matter.

For Gartside's salary, I'd give it a go.TKIZ! wrote:I knew I could count on you Bish!thebish wrote:Hughton - we have a problem?

Re: The New Freedman Poll
Just out of pure interest (I'm not clued up on the board side of things) how would it come to pass Gartside being relieved of duties?
A vote of no confidence from the board? The owner removing him? Contract running out?
what would be the process?

Think it would be and ED pick...
Re: The New Freedman Poll
Vote of no confidence from the board. ED as owner would have the final say so. As I and Iggy, Worthy et al alll think ED has lost interest it could eb a long and bumpy ride with Gartside at the helm.

Phil Brown is a terrible manager. We should be looking at options like Clarke, Hughton and others like that.

Honestly - based on what exactly....?SmokinFrazier wrote:Phil Brown is a terrible manager. We should be looking at options like Clarke, Hughton and others like that.
The reason I mentioned Brown is that we can't just hand out another 3 year contract to a Clarke, Hughton etc.... without them proving themselves. Brown was someone who we could have (I forgot that he was at Southend) until the end of the season to see if he could motivate this group of players.
Anyway I volunteer to be the new Chairman.

Re: The New Freedman Poll
Houghton has only one aspect to his managerial career .... and I don't believe in positive discrimination so that's not relevant.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
