Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Yeah mate, Hellva game. If we showed half the passion that Argyle have this season we wouldn't have been relegated! If all goes according to plan! It'll feel a little weird sitting in the away end bit I'm Bolton fan through and through!

Here's hoping

I think we can take it as a given that there were debts or costs unknown to the new owners prior to the takeover based on these comments.
and whose fault is that?
I've no idea. Have you? I'm not being a dick, it's a genuine question.
It's theirs. They will have had access to all accounts and commitments of the club prior to finalising the takeover.
As Holdsworth says, the club was three minutes from admin. Doesn't sound like they had a proper period of due diligence.

eh?? YOU spent WEEKS telling us it should all have been done faster!!

ffs. They had PLENTY of time.

It's not ICI they were buying.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'm going for Undertaker ... or teacher.

not an undertaker... I know lots of them - they are generally relaxed, funny and not-particularly-anxious or sombre/sad/pessimistic people... (funnily enough!)

See, in common with many of LGM's posts, this is one that requires a Like button...

Congrats to you and Derek Adams; commiserations to Pompey and their Scouse ex-Accy boss Paul Cook. Both play football the right way.

Still want the Wombles to go up, mind, for entirely selfish locality reasons. :D

Do I not like that (idea). It only encourages people to post shite like 'have a recommend'.

A quick search on Google exposes my alumilliner as unoriginal. Foiled again!

Deano, on the BN:
I understand people want to see a manager appointed and I agree it’s very important we sort it. But it can’t just be set in stone. We need to find that perfect person who’ll fit into the remit of what we have got.

I have put together a structure the manager will fit into, just as I have the players. Now, we (Holdsworth and co-owner Ken Anderson) need to set down exactly what we want. There will be more conversations on that this week.

It can’t be about the financials any more. It must be about whether they fit for this football club. It’s such a vital decision. We’ve made the decision to hang on a bit and make sure we pick the right person.

I'm sorta confused...That reads like the complete opposite end of the interview process, than the end that Anderson said he was at a few weeks back.

You mean where Anderson said the manager was set and working on planning for next season?

He said, she said...
Deano's method sounds better and Ken's fortnight hasn't come to fruition. Whether that means Ken is all empty promises, or we're at impasse, I don't know - but at some point they have to reach agreement. Just hope we don't end up with Fifth-Choice Fred.

Deano' method may seem better but he is the one pushing for Peter Reid.....

Is he, though? Because they could have made that decision six weeks ago.

If you believe Iles, and i will leave that up to you, Wilder et al were on Anderson's shortlist, whereas Deano wants a Reid/Nolan pairing.

from what I've read, Iles said (a while back) that Deano was pondering pairing Reid with a younger man. Not entirely sure he still is.

well - to me it soujds entirely and completely sensible to take time over this.

of course, we may have to wait a bit longer now for Giggsy now that ManU's premiership season is NOT over!
