McCarthy loaned confirmed by the club, for rest of season. He'll wear 54, Coke 51.

According to that line-up at the end, White played as one of three centre-backs and Threlkeld in midfield. The return of Dougie's Random Team Generator?

Anyway, no interest in Islam Feruz, says NL in the BN.
There's nothing in that with Islam Feruz. I don’t think I will bring any more players in on loan – we have enough as it is.
He really missed the chance to say "Feruz isn't fer-us...
What a hero, What a man...... Ooooh, what a bad foul...

That was mentioned on the press conference for the rovers game. Lennon smiled.

That was Gareth McAuley. Sorry.

Seems Pulis rebuffed the prankster's bid to sign McAuley and suggested McCarthy.

Didn't realise Heskey was out of contract.

Half his age, young midfielder Chris Woodland is off to Oldham till Apr 11: http://bit.ly/1Gz7MUR" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yeah, just noticed that - oops, apologies to the young man, who is by all accounts very promising. (I had him in by Bolton squad for the Europa League on Football Manager... :mrgreen: )

I would say so, he's 23 now, doesn't look anywhere close to breaking into our first team.

Can we still bring loans in? Just thinking that since we have no recognised right back at the club, we could do worse than bring back Sam Rickets since Wolves have said he can leave

I think we can but I don't think we will . We have slavchev , danns , coke , bannan and trotter available for the two centre mid spots already so it may be that vela plays right back in most games with threlkeld and white possibly also getting a look in . Lennon already knows what vela has to offer and his best position and be looking at what other players can offer with a view to next season . Keeping vela in the side week in week out continues to give him useful experience .Its only worth using players who could be here next season now and rickets wouldn't really fit the model of signing players with development potential or a long term future . The 5 loans rule makes signing any more a bit pointless if he really wants to look at the ones already here . It's not worth bringing anyone else in unless they have the potential to stay beyond the next couple of months .
