Exactly! You'd think a horrific relegation and a season in the Championship would have brought a few of them down to size, but alas no, they still think they're competing with United for the title - absolute deluded idiots!Bruce Rioja wrote:Salford Trotter wrote:http://www.nufc-forum.com/nufcforum/ind ... ic=35302.0

Got back from the match just over an hour ago and I still can't believe it. That is the best I have seen Bolton play in a very long time. What is even more important is that there seems to be such a spirit in the team that I believe that we can keep this up. Top of the table is 6 points away and the ones above keep cocking up.
No, I don't think we are going to win the league but there appears little reason why we shouldn't remain in the top half of the table.

Thinking we are is probably the best way to make sure we stay in the top half. Does no harm to dream.bedwetter2 wrote:Got back from the match just over an hour ago and I still can't believe it. We scored 20 in September 1996, but that was in eight games.DJBlu wrote:For Bolton? or the League?General Mannerheim wrote:Is this some kind of record for goals scored in a month? 13 in four games!
However - and this was the reason I started looking for us surpassing such records, as I remember there being a mad flurry - there was a sequence in Rioch's first year that went:
1) Fulham 1 Bolton 4
2) Bolton 4 Burnley 0
3) Bolton 4 Rochdale 0 (FA Cup)
4) Bolton 5 Bradford 0
That's 17 goals in four games
3 1/2 weeks after that Bradford game, we went to Anfield for an FA Cup third round replay....

For a moment, I thought to myself that I could put a sneaky quid on us. Then I realised that, based on my gambling history in football, that I am a Jonah.RobbieSavagesLeg wrote:bedwetter2 wrote:Got back from the match just over an hour ago and I still can't believe it. So I put 20p each on Chelsea, Manchester United, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City to win the league....
