Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
No rumour, but brainfart: I wonder if Villa might lend us left-back Joe Bennett. Rochdale-born graduate of Middlesbrough's academy, now 23 and just coming back to fitness, a regular for them last season but has only played League Cup games this season. Just an idea...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mason won't be expected to be the answer if this is the question.Cocopopper wrote:The Oracle says Cravies to Preston, loan, 'imminent'
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Cravies to Preston on loan, we know who the source for that will be!
Mason to be his replacement.

Although Bournemouth are interested and have apparently bid 1.5m

in cravies - or mason?jaffka wrote:Although Bournemouth are interested and have apparently bid 1.5m

Villa have just loaned one of Chelsea's surplus left-backs, one that started a Champions League Final not that long ago so Bennett might be available? I hadn't even heard of the lad until this post!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:No rumour, but brainfart: I wonder if Villa might lend us left-back Joe Bennett. Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
Gets even less complex. If, as seems likely, that Cravies is heading SKDwards then it must be Scott Laird coming to the Reebok as he is the only Left Back Preston have on the books. Which begs the question as to who Preston will play at left back.thebish wrote:Riviman wrote:http://lionofviennasuite.sbnation.com/2 ... e-mason-in?

If these are true the season just gets better and better!!yep - probably the most convoluted and complex deal I have ever heard of!!the first article linked wrote:Vague hints have been dropped by journalists about a convoluted 'exchange' deal that would see Davies leave the Reebok, with a left-back coming into the squad from the team who would take Davies on loan.
Very complex.

Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
anymore news on this alleged shifting out of a highly-paid one?
Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
If this is right and it all comes off then its very strange and for me confirms that Duggie has lost the plot.
We let go our own handy striker who is replaced by a lump who cannot score and bring in a lightweight player who didn't fit in when he was here.
Barking mad he is.

He fits the MO of non-scoring striker. He'll fit right in.Riviman wrote:perhaps we're getting SKD back in exchange!!jaffka wrote:Cravies to Preston on loan, we know who the source for that will be!

hmmmm... but cravies isn't exactly devastating for us - didn't show much at QPR... Mason is a puzzle - but surely beckford can't be far off coming back - so then we'd have this new unpronouncable bloke (who looked OK to me on Tuesday - had more impact than Cravies did) and beckford and Odelusi...
i'd not lose that much sleep over cravies leaving - i don't think he's really the one to build our future on...
Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
Hints it is a reasonably highly paid player not in the first team at moment.thebish wrote:anymore news on this alleged shifting out of a highly-paid one?
I can only think it is Mears.

All speculation to one side, because I am a simple soul and easily confused, I need a list of what has actually happened so far. So I've provided one for myself...

Does that mean we may be interested when he is out of contract in the summer? 2 + 2 = 5The Oracle wrote:For the Bolton punters. There's nothing imminent with Trotter.

he hasn't really had a chance this season
last year at home against Burnley he turned the game in our favour
