Why the early kick off?

The public guardians, bold yet wary, figure that to prevent danger looming, they'll take good care to avoid having to run too many in. .......Easier to do by shortening the day and working in the daylight than hunting for helpless women and little boys who do no harm in the dark.....And then there's the overtime to consider of course....

Stockton declared fit to play. Just hope that in watching him we don't get too distracted and get hit from elsewhere. Beyond that, que-sera-sera. "Boldness be my friend" COME ON YOU WHITES...!....

Hoping for a Morley style "I think we battered em". Will take any win. I do apologise for any in game bollocks that may be posted.

Sheehan and Mbete start
Traf; Toal, Santos, Mbete; Bradley, Morley, Dempsey, John; Shola, Dion
Subs: Dixon, Jones, Thomason, Lee, R Williams, Kachunga, Nlundulu
No Jerome again, and presumably Dixon on bench due to lack of outfielders

A keeper on the bench. Are we expecting Traff to get a rough time?

I think it's cause Victor is unavailable.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 11:34 amA keeper on the bench. Are we expecting Traff to get a rough time?

No adeboyejo either! So much for that injury being nothing. The medical / sports science department needs an overhaul in the summer, it’s costing us week after week. We need a bigger squad than everyone else just to cope with injuries!

A smaller midfield and forward line than would be ideal for a game like this, but we don’t have many alternatives.
Pleased that Mbete comes back in to give us a big, balanced and mobile back three.
Declan John I’m not sure has the stomach for these sorts of occasions, but hopefully he goes out and proves me wrong.

And the other "still injured" list...But he could've put Isgrove or Khumbeni in there instead, had he wanted to go No GK...DJBlu wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 11:37 amI think it's cause Victor is unavailable.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 11:34 amA keeper on the bench. Mate, I honestly think that fans of every club think their medical department is crap.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 11:38 amNo adeboyejo either! So much for that injury being nothing. Jury is still out on Mbete for me, he looked good in his first few, but then ponderous v Wycombe and 45 v Port Vale (not that ponderous I've got him in the "don't play him again" category or owt) and it was mainly going forwards rather than defensively. Let's see what he does against another likely low block today.The_Gun wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 11:42 amA smaller midfield and forward line than would be ideal for a game like this, but we don’t have many alternatives.

John frustrates me - I suspect he frustrates all of us and is why Swansea let us have him - when he's about his game, looks really good, but unlike most when they're not at their peak, who go from really good to maybe just average, he manages to go full spectrum to oh lord that was pretty awful...
Glad to see Thommo up and running again.
Any predictions about a Santos red card?

Maybe - could be one of those were you think your teams the one to break a bad run or whatever. But the amount of time we’ve had our new players is annoying!The_Gun wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 11:48 amMate, I honestly think that fans of every club think their medical department is crap.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 11:38 amNo adeboyejo either! Just had a sneaky look on their forum there's a good smattering of 0-4 and 0-3 whumpings. Despite their good home form.

Might just be that our standards in training are higher and make us prone to injuries when the new players are playing catchup. Different story with N'lundulu as he's had an injury that was being managed at a previous club and probably should've been red flags for the medical team.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 11:58 amMaybe - could be one of those were you think your teams the one to break a bad run or whatever.
