Getting goals looks tricky though. Expect a dour goalless first hour then maybe Beckford and Moritz coming on and us hoping to nick a 1 0. I guess Cravies is a good call to start up front given that Ngog and Beckford arent 100% though I imagine Eaves may be able to do that lone wolf role quite well too.So Beckford and Moritz for Pratley and Cravies on the hour and maybe Eaves for Andrews for the last 15 if its still goalless. Shouldnt be necessary as we will be two up anyway by then from a Moritz set piece and a Beckford breakaway.
Well that's what Dougie told me last night.
Sorry to smash the dream, but I thought Moritz wasn't fit?

Probably in a sentence like this " questions remain about his fitness, and it remains to be seen whether he'll be fit for the first game, though he may be". Brilliant, covers all bases.

Actually, with a combination of injuries and un-fit, only recently signed players not to mention last year's Player of the Season and the best defender we've seen for 2 or 3 years no longer here, loaning out an inconsistent but 'at least he offer something different' striker, a poor pre-season as we still search for our best 11 and try to establish Dougie's playing style .... we're in a bit of a mess going into this season opener aren't we ?!?!

Domed.

Utterly, totally, domed.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'm hoping it turns out similar to the start of the season we went up under Allardyce. i remember us being in absolute disarray on that first day too. Over to you Dougie....

Just put a load of bets on the game 8) I think I got a bit carried away with the excitement of the new season

Burnley v Bolton
Bolton 4-0
Darren Pratley First Goal scorer @ 600/1

Pratley got a few last season. Remember his diving header special against Hull? Nailed on today 8)

Hope so anyway.
