This is what it has come to.

If money is supposed to be this tight, do we actually need another midfielder, when a left back is the urgent position to fill.

I think we're loaning Mason, so we can loan him to Millwall to enable us to get Trotter, in a player + cash deal.

there is no calling it, if he signed him last year and getting rid now, he made a bad signing. simple really
Or he made a good signing , and then failed to get the best out of him (coincidentally like all his teammates). Either way, further evidence that he's a shite manager.

One might be bad luck, but everyone has gone to shit it makes you wonder how anyone can defend his record.

Exactly the kind of battler we need right now I'd say. But yep, like you say.

So did I. Never classy but hard to deal with.

I thought he was due another 5 games in his run in the side ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Craig Davies had a very decent game the other night, even smacking the crossbar in an effort reminiscent of one he had at Leicester towards the end of last season. And now I'm reading that he's off to PNE. He's better and more effective than Joe Mason, who did absolutely nothing in his last spell here. Not looking forward to him returning, if that happens to be the case. Had enough of Freedman too.

Craig Davies is bobbins.

Powerful shot but no football brain and one of the worst first touches I've seen in a white shirt.

A "busy doing nothing" player if ever I saw one.

He was busy scoring goals for barnsley before we signed him, then made a very encouraging start. Yes he's been shit since then, but physical presence and hard work are more than Mason has shown for us. No-one's claiming he's brilliant but this loan shuffling is just baffling to me.

No.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Great. If we stopped trying to hoover up lots of little midfield tiddlers, perhaps we could afford a decent one?

Is Veloso around ? We could offer Mears as a straight swap, maybe dust off the old ping pong tables and throw them in the deal as well.

If he's got personal issues going on then fine. I actually think Simon Grayson is the right sort of person to get him going again. He is a bit of a journeyman (it'll now be 13 clubs in less than 14 years), but his scoring record at Barnsley was very good.

It's a shame. I actually thought him, Lukas and Beckford made a reasonable strike force. I think if you played them all for a full season they'd get you 8-10 goals, which is something to work with. Mind you I still think that about Sordell.

I'd like us to sign Trotter a) because I've always rated him and b) because it's always satisfying when we sign somebody we've been linked with for years on end. What are Javier Saviola and Djibril Cisse doing these days?

c). He's called Trotter, which offers up so many opportunities.
