... & maybe, one day, we'll find out the Mears story, coz there has to be one.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Don't get the rb thing. Baps is clearly more comfortable on the right, so get a LB! If there aren't any good enough available, and there is a good rb, fine, but that:s not 'looking at right backs'.
Odd.
Odd.

To those not happy with another midfielder, would you reject Messi if the money was right?
Fcuk me, if he improves us and we can afford him, wtf is your problem

Of course, and if the lad's good then 'welcome' to him. But midfield is the least of our present worries.CAPSLOCK wrote:To those not happy with another midfielder, would you reject Messi if the money was right?

We have Mavies, Spearing, Medo, Danns, Pratley, Vela, Moritz. Ream potentially. I've not mentioned Holden deliberately btw. Some more defensive, or more attacking, but adding one .... well, he needs to be notably better than the above.
Meanwhile we have almost no fit full-backs and barely two currently competent centre-halves.

As long as it's only Pratley or Spearing to make way for his inclusion, then I'm fine with it.CAPSLOCK wrote:To those not happy with another midfielder, would you reject Messi if the money was right?

I wouldn't reject signing any player who would improve us if the money was right.
When evaluating whether the money is right, the two main points to consider would be, how much would he improve us? And how big a wedge of our budget does an improvement in that position warrant.
I've barely seen Trotter play bit I doubt he's enough of an improvement to warrant spending much money on when we have such pressing needs elsewhere.
Done deal loan to the end of the season acc BBC. Sounds N'Gog like (the deal, not Trotter!).

I thought that the club was skint so why use what little money we have on yet another midfielder

Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
Personally from what I've read from Iles and Nixon it sounds like Trotter was being lined up as a free in the summer and this has been brought forwards due to goings on at Millwall.
It is a strange signing in a short term sense given where the priorities are, but you can't always sign players in the order you'd like. Frankly I see this as part of a larger rebuild rather than a short term measure.
The problem is that there are short term problems that do need addressing now. I have no idea how much of our inability to address them is down to Freedman, the club, the money situation, player availability or anything else.
I do think letting Craig Davies go is a very odd decision in the context of where we are. We need to get enough points to stay up, then rebuild. But a big lad who might be average but is a willing runner is surely worth keeping around to help achieve that. I can see why the likes of Sordell aren't wanted here but Davies for me, as limited as he is, is the sort that might dig the odd point out for you.
