There was good discussion on here when he was quoted saying something about, being at the football club to make big decisions, but 'big decisions' were actually words used by the journalist in a question, which wasn't quoted.

I can't believe he hasn't looked back at some of his press interviews and cringed, surely he's smart enough to learn and improve in that area.
I couldn't give a fiddler's f*ck if he fessed up to reading Mills 'n Boon. He's either the right manager or the wrong one.

How many other appointments would have gotten us to this position (and genuine shot at promotion) such a short time after the clusterf*ck Coyle left us in? He could speak in sodding tongues and I wouldn't give a hoot.

Coyle was much more media-slick than Meggo for instance. Only one of those two actually got us relegated though.

Alright, calm down fer feck sake. It was an opinion about a specific. Doesn't mean that that specific impinged upon the actual process of managing.

(chipping in)

Dougie Freedman has done a great job in his time as Bolton manager. He has taken us to a place where dreaming of promotion is allowed, from a place where fearing relegation was understandable.

There are comments on this thread about him being "weird" and an "oddball". Ian Wright said on the YouTube clip posted above that, in his experience, he was quiet, and not obviously management material.

Who. Cares. ?

Not me. I think he will be around in English management for a long, long time. A long, long, long time. I think he's done splendidly, both at Palace before he got the Bolton job, and in the Bolton job too.

Now, I don't know if he specialises in bullshit, or he's of the 'dour Scot' variety and whether, deep down, I dislike this type of person but after Cptn. Chaos' happy-chappy days this quotte is from a guy who takes the job seriously ; ""... when other people were opening presents on Christmas Day we were training. Now we are reaping the reward of months of hard work."

Can't disagree.

Someone mentioned that Coyle was still out of work the other day.

Out of interest, how many managers have been sacked since Coyle was and have already been back in work?

Aye, but he's counting Breightmet Rovers, Daisy Hill, Eagley Mills and Radcliffe Coop.
