If Coyle resigned does that mean Wigan don't have to pay compensation? If so, why can we never get them to resign?
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

That's the thing, DW has said they have to pay his compo so must have sacked Coyle!

Really? What's that all about then?

Oh no. Already part of the contract ... he had a "rolling year" contract so he's due another 12 month's pay from Monday. I think that was what took 25 min of the 30 min 'discussion'.

He's not THAT happy clappy.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Add that to the year he got from us (or 10 months if payments stopped when he got another job?) and he's done pretty well this last year

I guess only in Scotland could he get a job now.

even if he gets a job in Ecosse , he'll just loan crap from higher ups reserves, and buy players from the division below..

you'd think he were pocketing the money he's "saving" .

I looks like they're going to get Uwe Rossler. He should be in charge just in time for our game. Oh great.

Got my tickets for this one through the post, really looking foreword to going back to Wigan and hopefully seeing the Superwhites get justice for the last time I was there (that game where we lost 1-0 to 10 man Wigan).

I reckon that, to be fair, it could be a superb appointment just so long as Whelan leaves him to get on with it. One of Brentford's players rents a pad off of one of my mates in London, anyway, he was telling me that Rosler's an absolute stickler for discipline and for having things done his way - understands that management isn't a popularity contest. We'll just have to see what happens, I suppose.
