So a front of the back floor sweeper may lurk there then ? A-la Campo (kneel & genuflect)[/quote]bobo the clown wrote:officer_dibble wrote:He's a.non heading centre half. I think positionally he's ok and he's a footballing centre half...but seems a bit soft. I'm hoping Mills is a hard man.
I can't stand Knight, but I'd start with him and Mills I think.
You mean drop to knees and grab ball don't you?

I'm delighted that we've spotted we're short on holding midfielders and I'll cut the man some slack for not signing one last summer, as it looked like Holden would be back with us reasonably early in the season. I'm just wondering why it wasn't rectified in Jan, yes we needed a CB too, but then we bought Sordell (who might be a decent investment), but a holding MF might have kept us up - originally, I thought he might not have noticed at all, maybe he's been reading the forum in the close season.TKIZ! wrote:Garty has his feelers out, dirty fecker!

The comment about US imports was indeed tongue in cheek, before HP starts asking us to sign Jozy Altidore and Alexi Lalas too. That said, like Boris, I'm not yet convinced about Ream.

We should not sell LCY IMO. Not this season at least. Whilst I think Mark Davies could be replaced with a different type of midfield player, that may make us in some ways more effective, I don't think we'd have a snowball in hells chance of replacing LCY whilst we are a championship side.
In this case for me its not about money its about the quality of player we could get.....

Not much of a rumour but a rumour all the same
Bolton are keen on a loan deal for Luzern midfielder Xavier Hochstrasser

Lalas would be good to have around. He'd be honest enough to tell Coyle he's an idiot.Worthy4England wrote:The comment about US imports was indeed tongue in cheek, before HP starts asking us to sign Jozy Altidore and Alexi Lalas too.

We had a holding midfielder, until March 17 . . .Worthy4England wrote:I'm delighted that we've spotted we're short on holding midfielders and I'll cut the man some slack for not signing one last summer, as it looked like Holden would be back with us reasonably early in the season. And quite possibly not our worst option at CB.H. Pedersen wrote:Lalas would be good to have around. He'd be honest enough to tell Coyle he's an idiot.Worthy4England wrote:The comment about US imports was indeed tongue in cheek, before HP starts asking us to sign Jozy Altidore and Alexi Lalas too.

We had 2, if we're being pedantic.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

We did, not sure the man in the big chair rated him as such though.H. Sorry to report again but Sanchez is back on again. Well, according to The Oracle.
He's (Sanchez) been to the ground, had a chat with PG and Owen and liked it but this was last Sunday. Must be a wages thing again

It really might be on. I'm not sure how I feel about this any more.
Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok
I think most Bolton fans are pretty fed up with the on/off nature of it. He can't play tomorrow as he'll need a work permit and the problems with him arriving have been visa related.
On the football side apparently he's very Muamba like, good at the sitting role but won't chip in with many goals. Supposedly we'll know for definite today if he's likely to sign.

If he's fecked his agent(s) off, we might stand a chance. Problem is, at this stage, if he does sign he won't play for a couple of months anyway. Unless he's kept himself in ridiculously good shape over the summer.

That has GOT to be a body-wrapping of cocaine taped to his midriff.
Hey, I'm no-one to talk, but a pro footballer that shape ? Even if he's not fully trained and had no pre-season that's some add-on. Ream kept his shape despite living on his Nando's diet.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
