Nixon now tweeting that a deal without admin is possible that's the good news. Bad news is it involves Bassini.
Does it matter who has the money? Not for me. Either someone has the cash or the backing to bail us out or they do not. Bassini was only bad news if the EFL waived him through without a proper check on his backers/cash. Seemingly they haven't.

I fear that any solvent buyout will leave us back here in a few years, but perhaps we'll be lucky and find another Allardyce.....

Are you ok?

They're far from ideal. Weirdos. But they're better than the two current front runners. And liquidation.

They haven't got the dosh though. More worried as someone else said they feck it up by getting involved.
I will say this. Anything is better than liquidation. But do not be naive and think the trust are well meaning idiots. They aren’t. And you only need look at some involved and their history to see.

I will say no more on this.
Shock, horror! Hoboh in agreement with BWFCi.

There are I am led to believe some in the ST who think they can get and run a football club on the cheap with of course your funding and support.

Bingo. Now I need a lie down as Hoboh and I are on exactly the same page.

In the absence of any other owners coming forward, they'd be the "owners of last resort". If it's "on the cheap" (as in that cheap the ST could afford it), then I suspect one of the "hovering bidders" could also afford it, without recourse to "ST shareholder" monies.

I don't currently see them being able to fund out of admin at the minute, they don't seem to have enough - unless some of Anderson's tyre kickers have joined in - and would be found not to have when chugging through the necessaries with the EFL. So that only leaves "phoenix" option?

If the fxcking Supporter's Trust could afford the club, then so could I.
I'd be a better owner too. I'd have Wildlings as stewards, free ale and pies to under fives, and adopt a dragon as our mascot.
Unfortunately I'd insist we play in green, and be renamed Westeros Wanderers.

At least Hilary has been readied for tomorrow, the only player in our club worth watching.

I think we will get another adjournment, but there doesn't appear to be a solution in sight.

Do we know for sure that Hilary is in the squad for tomorrow? I too kinda expect an adjournment, though there's no rationale for it. Probably just wishful thinking on my part.

So do I. And that the circus will carry on, ending with Bassini eventually getting control of the club.

Iles responded "Yes" when asked the question on twitter a little while ago. I think Bassini's continuing clowning that is apparently still going on behind the scenes might well be good enough for the judge to reason that more time should be given. I hope the judge hasn't been paying attention to anything Bassini has said or done thus far, or anything in his background!

BBC are reporting that Bassini's bid to buy the club is coming to an end. Nothing to substantiate the report, but why run the story?

Cheers. I think we'll be allowed one last effort to sort things out.

Sad thing is I’m hitting the point where I don’t give a feck anymore - there’s that much bullshit news about on this tomorrow I’m not checking. Whatever will be, will be.

Nixon’s bit in tomorrow’s Sun

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football ... -takeover/

“Football Ventures are poised to step in. Local businessman Mike James is also a leading creditor in the failed club and will be partnered by potential chief exec Sharon Brittan and investor Jeff Thomas.”

I think we'll be fine, one way or another.

An adjournment to allow us to enter administration is what I'm guessing.

Very nervous.

Iles and Nixon both reporting that Football Ventures' barrister is at court. As admin has not yet been filed for, the suggestion is that FV's rep will act as a safety net, leaping up if judge leans towards liquidation. Of course, it could just be that the barrister is there to report back.

Court is in session. Depending on speed of cases before ours, it might take an hour. We're no.49; Macc Town are 47. By then we might know whether it's a "hanging judge"...
