Not sure it's true, don't think anyone in Burnley could afford that.

They'd be too busy pointing at the mechanical bird in the sky. Nor would they be able to read it anyway.

The good thing for us is that it seems they played quite a few first teamers.

Can't let the new season start without a preview of some sort, albeit a cobbled one, so here goes..

Very poetic piece , however not being picky (starts to be picky) is it "snowflakes on a hot plate" as opposed to "snowdrops on a hotplate".

Just asking like.

Snow flakes "drop", but you're perfectly corrrect, though I wouldn't give a snowdrop much chance either. My bad.

3 sleeps away now. Must say, I'm bloody excited.
More so about an opening game than I have been for 10 years.

Bring back the football :)

Yep, with English commentary on Al Jazeera (JSC) Sport +3. Most pubs that have a dish pointed at 13e will have it (the cards are only like £70 for 12 months). Streams will be all over the place.

If you have an unused dish on your house, you can do much worse than get a cheap receiver and the aforementioned card. Lots of Npower Championship matches to be seen on there. If you have such things you create your own streams for friends and family too...

Or....if you live in the NW get down the Reebok and cheer the lads on live. Less faffing, and far more satisfying/soul destroying in equal measure!

Had a season ticket for 20 years up until a couple of seasons ago, so I know full well the benefits of getting one. Unfortunately, two kids in quick succession means that for a few seasons, season ticket/parking/concourse/petrol is out of my reach. Next year should see my return to the realms of regular attendance, thank fook.
