Interesting ? I damn near needed tissues.EverSoYouri wrote:"Fans will not accept long-term views." Rubbish! Fans will accept the truth of things as long as you can prove to them you're taking the club in the right direction.
Interesting how he uses phrases like 'I might not be here' more than once.
The sort of interview which will have neutrals thinking what a top bloke .... & what a great job he's doing in such difficult circumstances." They'll be terrifically impressed by his youth team development and his willingness to develop our own players.
We, meanwhile....
His smug attitude that he's doing brilliantly is a smoother version of Megson's attitude to us.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Same kind of nonsense that swirled around Megson. Same kind of condescending shite.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

And the removal of pictures of any recent players is probably more a psychological trick to kid himself we've done nowt since the fifties, so its all ok.

It'd have that it would be very positive to show that, within the tangible past we've had Hierro, Djorkaev, Okocha, N'gotty, Campo, Bergsson, Stelios.Lord Kangana wrote:And the removal of pictures of any recent players is probably more a psychological trick to kid himself we've done nowt since the fifties, so its all ok.
I can get not having players who are currently still playing for other clubs, but why be shy of thee guys a inspirations ?

'...the pictures on the wall have changed. Freedman has taken down shots of recent players and replaced them with one of a tennis player scratching her arse, one of dogs playing cards and one of a cat hanging on to a branch. 'I thought that ones showing players that the current crop of youngsters could look up to destracting.' Freedman says 'Who doesn't like looking at a tennis players arse first thing in the morning? That's inspiring.'
The Scot continued 'When players join our club I sell them an idea. I tell them about the club's history, the great games, the FA Cups and even stories of players going to war. Then I loan them to Chesterfield or Shrewsbury and bring in complete fuds from my previous club. That way I can truly motivate them.'
Despite being in charge of the club during one of it's bleakest periods in modern history Freedman points to other successes. 'See that cupboard over there?' he points 'That used to have a table tennis table in it. I've folded that up and now that's where I put my coat. It's things like this that set me apart. I learned it when I went to the San Siro for a tour around the ground. They had a cupboard for keeping coats and hats in. I thought that's muckle braw and if I ever found a cupboard I'll change it to one where I could put hats and coats. My one regret is that I never learned the Italian for 'hat' or 'coat'. It's probably 'hatto e coato' or something' he muses ruefully.

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

He's not making stuff up, but he's plaiting fog. He's an English lit graduate (recent, judging by that hairstyle) who is either unpaid or very badly paid, and he's been told to Target Chelsea Fans with a clickbait Why Your Side Is Doomed headline. Poor fella.LeverEnd wrote:he has still been a creative provider in the sideHoboh wrote:Lee
I could do that!!playing one key pass per game and completing one dribble per game,
Clearly Billy Hawkins is on drugs, (well he looks like one of the stupid scruffy youth of today)
LOL.
Whole article utter bollocks, the guy must be just making stuff up.

Just been talking to a neighbour. His lad and mate have made the pilgimage on the coach. Hope the Whites don't let the good fans down. At least make a game of it and show a bit of pride. Might as well get a COME ON YOU WHITES in good and early....

And that magical half-season when Ricketts was unstoppable.

Who've we got 'Aidan Somebody'?
In a world that has decided

Anyway, the very best of luck to the lad if he is used ("used" could well be the word).

Lonergan, Herd, Mills, Dervite, Moxey, Pratley, Medo, Danns, Feeney, C Davies, Beckford
Chelsea have Cahill, Remy, Schurrle, Mikel, Salah and Oscar and Cech in their starting lineup.
Clayton on the bench.
