Trotter injured during Rotherham game. Our for a month. Can someone tell me if our subs actually "warm up" properly before they come on the field or do they just do a few stretches and come on cold when called ?

Zach's back. Lennon names 21-man travelling squad:
Guesses as to the three who miss out? I'll say Maher, Finney and Walker. "All this way for nothing..."

Not seeing any designated left backs. The new names all appear to be all central defence so add Derik and Dervite and we can have a line of five across the back. My guess is he'll move Vela across to the left and stick Derik in at right back.irie Cee Bee wrote:Who will play Left Back?

I think Maher, Holding and Twardzik have all played at left back for the U21s. I can't see Vela shifting over there. Maybe it'll be the dreaded three centre backs?TANGODANCER wrote:Not seeing any designated left backs. I think he'll keep 4 at the back. Cant see us getting anything here with those injuries (we'd of struggled before).
Clough up top on his own?

I guess Twatdick at LB, or Derik or Finney (some show of faith in another of his signings that would be!) In at cb and Holding left.

dunno what the animosity is towards Twardzik - has he done anything twattish that I've missed?? or is it just a case of - ooh he's got a funny-sounding name??Prufrock wrote:I guess Twatdick at LB, or Derik or Finney (some show of faith in another of his signings that would be!) More that he bought him, he played very rarely and was beyond shite when he was played.thebish wrote:dunno what the animosity is towards Twardzik - has he done anything twattish that I've missed?? or is it just a case of - ooh he's got a funny-sounding name??Prufrock wrote:I guess Twatdick at LB, or Derik or Finney (some show of faith in another of his signings that would be!) Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Looking like:
Amos
Vela, Dervite, Holding, Derik (or pick a left back from what's left)
Spearing, Davies, Pratley.
Feeney, Heskey (probably replaced later by Woolery) Silva (maybe replaced by Clough)
Dobbie looking on hopefully....
Edit...This based on the goal machine not being available. I read somewhere he's got back problems and is only 50-50 for being fit....
???

See DSB's "squad" post above. We're being denied the Machine's talent at Brighton.TANGODANCER wrote:Looking like:

It's easy to forget that because Madine misses seven absolute sitters every single game that he is still Bolton's main goal threat. We need him playing. Without him today I suggest an attempt at performing a minor miracle and defending our way to a nil-nil draw.
That said it doesn't really matter as this is once again our last game ever.

Except if he just scored 1/4 of his chances we'd be in the top half. Shirley to God any replacement would miss less.CrazyHorse wrote:It's easy to forget that because Madine misses seven absolute sitters every single game that he is still Bolton's main goal threat. Anyway ... "defending our way to a 0-0". Love your optimism. That's less likely than the much missed "we'll smash 'em 2-0".

I did say it'd be a minor miracle.

Has Holding played left back for us before? Could be an option to play Derik as centre half with Holding on the left.TANGODANCER wrote:Looking like:

Madine is not a good player but if fit I would definitely play him before Heskey.
