Re: Bolton vs Crystal Palace
So as for todays game? I'm feeling quite positive that we should win by 2 clear goals(3-1).Expect the same starting 11 as last week and hopefully the same formation. Warnock in for Alonso if he's not fit. Palace are a well managed midtable outfit but they're along way from home. They play 4231 which potentially means they can outnumber us in midfield and leave our non ballplaying centre backs with too many opportunities to play the ball. You'd expect Zaha to be buzzing about against our fullbacks and they have a big lad up top in Murray and a midfielder with an eye for goal in Dikmania or whatever he's called.
But at home with Mavis and Eagles growing in confidence and some solidity provided by Andrews and Spearing against a good but average side it's one we really should win. Meaning we can wait for Leeds(and clueless last manager on earth we'd want here Warnock) to show the weaknesses in our back four and the naivity of playing Eagles and Mavis in the same midfield.
No arguement about KD and NGog starting(not goalscorers but KD will crreate problems in the air and NGog provides an outlet ball with his movement and a pace threat which stops teams from playing too high a line. Hopefully sordell can get 20 mins late on nick a goal and be considered as part of the team.

Glen Murray banged three in last week (although one was a penalty). Hope Knight's up for a battle. I also hope our defence and midfield are coping enough to push forward and give the front lads a chance to play. Going to be difficult today with the wind being lively. COME ON YOU WHITES, be up for it.

Is there likely to be a stream? Missed last week's.

Not looking likely on First Row Sports. Sheffield Wednesday get one again though. Looks like Tower FM for me. (That's FM as in radio, not Football Manager) .Sponge wrote:Is there likely to be a stream? Missed last week's.

BWFC: Bogdan, Mears, Mills, Knight, Warnock, M Davies, Andrews, Spearing, Eagles, K Davies, Ngog
BWFC Subs: Lonergan, Ream, Petrov, Ricketts, Sordell, Pratley, Chung-Yong
Looks like the same formation, with Warnock coming in for Alonso. Sordell on the bench instead of Afobe.

Re: Bolton vs Crystal Palace
Alonso not even on the bench? I wonder if he kicked off after being dropped?
Nice to see Sordell on the bench.. Would be even nicer to see him on the pitch.
If we keep zaha quiet today then we should have a good shout at a win.

I read earlier he was doubtful after picking up a knock last week.ChrisC wrote:Alonso not even on the bench? I wonder if he kicked off after being dropped?

That's good to see. A knock for meares allowing Ricketts in on the right and the accidental route to our best line up continues apace. Shame for Alonso but I think warnock should be better at left backSmokinFrazier wrote:BWFC: Bogdan, Mears, Mills, Knight, Warnock, M Davies, Andrews, Spearing, Eagles, K Davies, Ngog

We played well last weekend but Wednesday aren't up to much at the moment. Worried about midfield, worried about set pieces, glad to see Sordell's on the bench.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.
