He's about 5'19-5'10. Small for a footballer, but wouldn't class him as "tiny" by any measure

... and he was frigging tiny. Honest. If he's beefed up he needed too.

Seriously, football's appeal is that people of all statures can play it. He's just on the small side.

I never thought of Xavi, Iniesta, David Silva etc, as big lads.

That's a left handed pen and we offered him a right handed contract.

Good spot though Enoch.

A bit of licence used there then by his publicity team, AT .... I'm a mere 5'10" and he was a good way shorter than me.

.... & the pro players I've met, even the smaller ones, surprise you by the scale of their neck. John Sheridan's neck, for example, looks wider than his head.

Gold Cup final is tonight at 9. Might have a watch - I'm getting excited for the new season, and the chance to see one of our own in competitive action appeals. Anyone else watching?
Formerly known as Meg'sEleven. And Owen'sEleven. And Dougie'sEleven. We're getting through them aren't we...

Yes I'll be tuning in.What do we recon the chances of him being back in Bolton in time to take some part on Saturday?
For me I don't think there is any chance of him being ready due to jet lag and having no time with the team in preseason.
To to qualify I would love to be wrong!

TBF in reality very few players succeed in English football unless they are 6 ft. tall.

What is the definition of success here? International, prem, championship or just a pro making a living?

Not a chance he'll be playing Saturday, I wouldn't have thought. But I'm glad he's had these run-outs. He's been playing 90 minute competitive games. Be good for him, I'd say.
