Re: Toothless. Burnley at Home.
Lose tonight and,yes he probably is gone.Although I can,t help thinking the shower of shite on the field will come out smelling of roses? Yes he sends them out there but once they cross that line they should be performing a lot better..We allegedly have the nucleus of a PL squad.
Re: Toothless. Burnley at Home.
I think even if we go down 5 nil he'll still keep his job.
I don't think that will happen though, I think, perhaps naively, that there will be a decent atmosphere with lots of away fans and we'll be up for it. Still I'm saying 3-1 to burnley with a late goal flattering them as we push to equalise with Big Zat up top. Then the usual hard luck stories.

He won't go.
He should.

Surely a defeat to the local rivals in our current situation will be the final nail in the coffin for Dougie ?
However that won't matter as it will be 2-1 to us, COYW !

I will be very surprised if he is sacked or resigns this week.
If we fall into the relegation zone, fingers might start to itch.
I'd rather we didn't fall into the relegation zone.
I'll be working tonight but keeping a wary and weary eye on the Reebok.
COYWM.

From @bwfcjuniors: "Coming to the game tonight? If you're aged between 5-14 you could be picked as our Mascot Select, just turn up in your Wanderers kit"

Because the board understands exactly what he's doing on and off the pitch, curing long term scars with loaners.BWFC_Insane wrote:Why not?boltonboris wrote:He won't go.

There is a little bit of paraphrasing but mostly you can stick quotation marks around it - in a Scots accent obviously.

Re: Toothless. Burnley at Home.
I fear you are correct. If PG or ED are to lose patience tjen they would have done so by now. The only 'hope' is an utterly crass occurrence or the fans turning like they did in the Hull game. I don't see that as so many have voted with their feet ... and those there are more war-weary than angry.boltonboris wrote:He won't go.

I suppose a big stuffing tonight could do it but we can't afford that.

because he'd rather have a job than not
because he knows we can't afford to sack him
because he believes he's doing a good job in difficult circumstances
because he knows what the problems are and how to sort them
because we are playing well but just not getting the breaks
the breaks are just around the corner and just give him more time to bring some more players in, get some out, get the players fitness up, get them to understand how he want them to play, blood the kids.
Not going tonight - had to go down south today and couldn't be bothered negotiating a 250mile round trip. slightly regretting it now, but my hope is not springing eternal............ come on whites surprise me
because he's educated and everyone else isn't

Re: Toothless. Burnley at Home.
Because I suspect that behind the scenes both ED & PG have possibly lost interest and aren't as focused & interested as they once were....its common knowledge that if they could find a buyer and sell the club then they would.boltonboris wrote:He won't go.

They are in limbo and appear to not have a clue how to move the club forward and are unable to stop the rapid decline, I don't particularly think that they rate Freedman as a manager - they just don't know whether to stick or twist because of the mistakes they have made with the previous managers and also the fact that we are skint - but saying that they can't just bury their heads in the sand and let Freedman take us into Div 1
With regards to tonight's game - no BWFC fan ever wants us to lose and we are all desperate for a win, but if we do lose tonight that will be 1 win in 11 and I hope both DF & PG feel the full force of the disgruntled fans because something needs to be done quickly and decisions need to be made at board level.

Wheater starts in place on Knight. Spearing and Medo picked with Lee and Eagles out wide. No Davies or Danns, Trotter instead. Jutkiewicz up front on his own.

Indeed.
Bogdan, Baptiste, Ream, Wheater, Mills, Medo, Trotter, Spearing, Lee, Eagles, Jutkiewicz.
Subs: Lonergan, Knight, White, Danns, Pratley, Davies, Moritz
Couldn't even give us the amusement of naming our second and third subs the other way round. Gartside out!

is Knight injured - think he's been one of better performers for last few games or has DF pulled a tactical masterstroke as he knows Wheater will have Ings in his pocketLittle Green Man wrote:Wheater starts in place on Knight. Re: Toothless. Burnley at Home.
Looking at it another way, he's only made two changes, so at least he isn't CHOPPING AND CHANGING.
Wonder if he spent the entire time Knight was in the team wishing he wasn't?

Re: Toothless. Burnley at Home.
I was trying to be positive about this one all day, and kept saying that I would back Dougie and maybe things will come good. But I just don't like the look of that lineup

A surprise to see Wheater starting the game but hopefully it has the desired effect.
Could have had a free ticket tonight but couldn't face sat on my own in the cold. Only a couple of months ago I'd have snatched your hand off

Re: Toothless. Burnley at Home.
So again we're dropping one of our few In form players (Danns) for a new loanee. Is it just me that fails to see the logic
