This transfer thread needs to be closed or changed to the outgoing demise of BWFC.

A lot can change in a year - even for pedants

Transfers go out as well as come in.

I'd say this might be the biggest must-click thread in years.

We are still allowed to try and fail to sign loan players or frees on low wages, so this makes no difference whatsoever as I see it. More bad publicity yes, but at this point so what?

Fulham and Forest also "slapped" with embargo.

I thought Forest had been under one for a while tbh

Forest had an embargo for three transfer windows. They were hoping it would be sorted for January.

And herein lies the problem. I'm sure there are plenty out there, and I considered myself one of them, who thought this would be a good way of purging ourselves of rafts of shite. The problem is, nobody wants our shite anymore than we do, so the only players who'll probably leave are those who we could potentially rebuild with - the young etc.

Anyway, it'll be reet.

Don't suppose we get to release anyone on a free come January? I was trying to find out what length of contract Ameobi was on - couldn't find anything more informative than "short term". :conf:

We may not have much of a choice (ok, no choice) in who goes and for what fee next month, but Vela going for peanuts is just a kick in the stones to everything football should be about imo - and it's just giving the kick that gave the stones a kick a kick if Vela's transfer fee is going to do nothing more than pay the wages of your Heskeys and Medos and Ameobis and Rachubkas until the end of the season.

Or the fee could go towards the money owed to HMRC to avoid going onto admin on 18th January and therefore avoiding the 12 point deduction.

Lennon seems quite happy to be deducting us points anyway, so I'd say 12 points is irrelevant.
