"Wednesday's child is full of woe". Away to Sheffield Wednesday, Friday Mar.17th 7-45.

Men against boys yet again - every time we play a top 6 team or a team who presses high against us. We are not good enough & don't have good enough players to play this way, this slow fcuking about at the back inviting pressure game doesn't work yet Evatt persists with it.

When we play well we play quicker with tempo & move the ball from back to front faster. Evatt really does overcomplicate a game of football.
This is a game to defend well pack our box and stay as resolute as possible whilst hitting on the break. What we are trying to do as you say we simply are not capable of.
Yes lets just sit back & defend.

I really hope we take that stroke of luck and make something of it. Build on it. Got to say it was superb from Jones. Bit of luck with the finish and deflection but by god we needed that. Hopeful we can avoid an absolute tonking now.

Was just thinking seconds before the goal - Ade had made a decent run but been ignored for the usual overlap - and I was wondering if he needed more #content or we needed more variety... turns out they sort of knew what they were doing, although it was only a very nimble-footed change of weight from Ade that helped him check his run and receive Geth's pull-back.

Again, hope that gives him more confidence. There's definitely a player there.

Santos with another superb crossfield pass to Declan who sadly runs it out.

A corner headed clear by Barry Bannan is not a corner crossed high enough.

Adeboyejo in a microcosm there. Great turn. Then fluffs a simple pass.

As an aside, I have only just (accidentally) discovered iFollow's "Replay Mode" (circular arrow next to volume) - shrinks main image to picture-in-picture, rewinds action by 30 seconds

Apologies if it's egg-sucking but it's new to me

That was fine! Panic fannies.

They have better players, we look a better team.

Not a great start and they deservedly took the league but we've won the arm wrestle since and scored a good goal. Sheehan looks a lot more comfortable just sitting.

Away from home to top of the league, could have crumbled. Maybe they do have character/leaders after all.

Still think we'll lose like, they just have so many players who are better at kicking a football which are the end of the day is often what it comes down to!

What the feck was with that Windass going over celebrating right at Trafford when they scored? Hope he breaks his leg. Bell end.

Website, boss, but it might also be on app

Meanwhile I see our soft lads are winning more tackles than the big tuff champions elect

Oh and none of the other promotion candidates are winning :D

Ah, Pru. So nice to read a post refreshingly free of both honk and parp.

Not beyond the realms that our cheeky chappie had said summat. But yeah, even if so - hope his bollocks turn square and fester at the corners.
